They’ve been good for the Vikings. You know you’re doing something right when player’s are actually wanting to join/play for the Vikings. 1 Quote

cberkas Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Looking like MLB was right in 2001 when they wanted to get rid of the Expos and Twins. Quote
rochsioux Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Looks like I will continue to ignore baseball. Absolutely no reason to invest my time or money into watching as long as the Pohlad’s are running things. Charlie Brown has a greater chance of kicking the football than the Twins have of being serious contenders. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted September 3 Posted September 3 At this point they are looking at a 100 loss season next year. The players who are "major league caliber" that they got back in trades aren't going to do anything, outside of maybe the young arms that have some chance to develop. Probably at the lowest point in franchise history, and I lived through the post 1991 WS teams until 2000. The Pohlads really turned a potentially good team into a disaster. Quote
sioux rube Posted September 17 Posted September 17 What a complete embarrassment this has become 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Just sell the team guys. They are already managed by a binder, that should save on hotel rooms and meal costs going forward if they just don't have a coaching staff either. 3 Quote

Shawn-O Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Twins are the AL version of the Pittsburgh Pirates. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Three games left in the season. Likely swept in Philly as the Phillies have the outside hope of the top seed depending on how the Reds and Brewers fare. Maybe they win the last one of the season. Offseason may be an interesting one as I see the team cutting further salary. The pitching situation after the rotation will be interesting. Other than Funderburk and Sands I don't know who your late inning guys are now. If you told me that Funderburk or Sands coming back are their best relievers in 2026 I probably would've disagreed with you a few months ago, but that is now the case. Quote

sioux rube Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Twins lose the last game of the season 2-1 to Philly and former Twin Bader scores the winning run. How fitting 1 Quote

How fitting Kepler went deep, and the team struck out three times in the 10th. That summed up the year well. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted Monday at 03:39 PM Posted Monday at 03:39 PM Lots of questions going into next year. Will Rocco be back? Will Ryan and Pablo be traded away? Will Walker Jenkins make his big league debut before June? Rotation: Pablo, Ryan, Ober, SWR, Abel or Bradley. Again, Pablo and Ryan definitely up in the air. In the outfield you've got Roden, Buck, Larnarch, Wallner, Martin. In the infield you've got: Keaschall, Lee, Royce, Julien, Clemens. Catching you've got: Jeffers and Pereda, can't see them bringing back Vasquez unless its a super cheap veterans minimum type contract. Quote
