fightingsioux4life Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I called this months ago and now it's out in the open. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2372717-insider-buzz-adrian-peterson-wants-to-join-cowboys-vikings-wont-trade-him Jerry Jones, if you want the services of the best running back in the game today, you will have to cough up some serious draft picks and current players. This will be sweet revenge for the Hershel Walker Trade 26 years ago. I hope you enjoyed those Super Bowls in the 1990's Dallas, because Karma is here and she wants her money NOW!!! This is going to get very interesting! Quote

So the Vikings should just give him away for a 7th round pick and a cup of coffee later? Sorry, but that's not acceptable. The Vikings own his rights and if they can't get something for him, then they should stick to their guns and not trade him to anybody. He is still better than most of the running backs out there. petey23 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Mad at the Governor? LOL! Who isn't? The Dems are mad at him, the Republicans are mad at him, most of the sane people in the state are mad at him, and now AP is mad at him. 1 Quote

homer Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Why let him dictate where he wants to go? Cardinals and Colts are also two teams that are close and need running back help. Put the feelers out and get rid of him. Quote
Feff Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Dallas would be stupid to overpay for AP considering they had one of the best running backs in the league last year. Quote
TBR Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Get rid of him so I can be a Vikings fan again this year. Quote

This is where the ego of Jerry Jones comes into play. When Jerry Jones wants something, he will overpay to get it. The Vikings could use that to their advantage. Quote

Let's brag him up and 'ship' him out. (Adrian thinks he is a slave to the NFL) I don't know about that, he rushed for over 2,000 yards the season after blowing out his knee. I think people are writing him off way too soon; he still has some gas left in the tank. Quote

No, but why do they have to trade him to Dallas? Dallas has a #1 RB and don't need to overpay for a 30 year old RB that hasn't played in a year. I get what you are saying but I doubt Dallas would ever make the deal unless they could get him cheap. After watching Teddy Bridgewater play this year, I could see the Vikings keeping AP. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Who did they get for a disgruntled Randy Moss again? That's OK, I can't remember either. Then you don't trade him. Draft a young guy to replace him and that might get him motivated to go out and prove the world wrong. But giving away assets is just plain stupid. Quote

Because Jerry Jones would love to have him as a feature attraction and Jones has an ego as big as the state of Texas. When he wants something, he will pay what it takes to get it. I am thinking he is involved in this whole thing somehow. Quote

He is a business man and the price has got to tilt in his favor to do a deal; this deal would cripple the Cowboys and they are inching closer each year. Quote

If you think Jerry Jones is involved in this process, don't you think other teams are thinking the same thing? Other teams could object to the deal (tampering charges) and it could cost the cowboys and vikings even more Quote

I just remember some of the draft picks he has insisted on in the past (Quincy Carter at QB?) and his penchant for falling in love with certain players despite what his personnel men tell him. Quote
