Fargo police are searching and looking for a 7 year old boy who didn't make it home after school today.

He's been found.  No other information has been released.

The clerks need tazers or mace.

Or drop safes that ensure a minimal amount of cash after a certain time. Some clerk making minimum wage should not be expected to deter a robber, armed or otherwise.

How about locking up stores after 7 or 8pm especially in repeated robbery locations. If people need gas pay at the pump, if you need smokes or a candy bar go to a grocery store.

Cigarettes and candy bars are where gas stations make all their money though, especially in Fargo.

Or you add internal security to your stores with thick plexiglass partitions, push through money slots, etc.  For the companies, the costs probably outweigh the benefits for "customer experience" and the relatively small amount of cash these robberies take.  It's also easier from a liability perspective if the employee just gives the money without any hassle.

True but if the same store is getting robbed all the time people will avoid that store and go somewhere else.

Lots of service stations in larger cities have the partitions. I've always wondered if this resulted in an increase in shop lifting.

Cab drivers have been attacked here for years. You couldn't pay me enough be a delivery driver in this town. Crime is going up as the population grows, we need more police and more neighborhood watch rallies. People need to lookout for each other.

When nothing is going on in Fargo, trouble comes to town from GF?

Circling the cop pointing a gun at him, esp if that gun looks even remotely real, makes this guy a candidate for dumbest criminal of the year.

Only 3 shots fired from the cop...........he should have emptied his gun on this JA.

Police probably now wish they had done that too.

Guy is a career criminal and needs to be locked up for a long time.

Undesirables............unfortunately the F-M area is getting more of them.

Unfortunately in the situation above there isn't one less after the police shooting.
