NODAK13 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Should be a fun season to watch und climb this poll! I'd say we start the fast climb by knocking off the team that is 7th in our third game of the season. 1 Quote
forksandspoons Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 IMO we are a little underrated... Hopefully we can get a signature win this season Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 If you're wondering who the poll encompasses: summit should not be on this list imo.. Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 summit should not be on this list imo.. So is the Summit a high-major or what then? Quote
jdub27 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 summit should not be on this list imo.. Because.....? Quote
forksandspoons Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 summit should not be on this list imo.. I think they fit in pretty well?...... Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 So is the Summit a high-major or what then? I think he is taking a shot at the Summit, implying that it should be a low-major. 1 Quote
darell1976 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I think he is taking a shot at the Summit, implying that it should be a low-major. They lose another team they won't be any major. 2 Quote
nodak651 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Do they still need to add another since UMKC left? Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Do they still need to add another since UMKC left? They need another baseball team or the NCAA takes away the basketball bid next year. UND and UNC put theirs in the WAC. The Summit has no options except NJIT. Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I think he is taking a shot at the Summit, implying that it should be a low-major. One must only point to UND's record against said conference in previous season to counter his shot. Quote
UND1983 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 One must only point to UND's record against said conference in previous season to counter his shot. Record at home or away? Quote
dmksioux Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 One must only point to UND's record against said conference in previous season to counter his shot. Not to mention the Summit RPI/Ranking has been higher than the Big Sky conference for a few years now. Other than Weber St. and Montana, the rest of the conference hasn't done much. That should be changing this year with UND stepping it up and hopefully EWU. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 One must only point to UND's record against said conference in previous season to counter his shot. Most of those games were without Brekke and Huff. Funny that never gets mentioned. 1 Quote
darell1976 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 One must only point to UND's record against said conference in previous season to counter his shot. One must point to number of teams in said conferences who go to the dance which is...one each. Quote
Cratter Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 All I know is the Bison don't stand a chance this season at the Betty. Volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball. Quote

nodak651 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Yep, it's a smart move putting the rival back to the Betty. It should be a sellout. Maybe... They're playing at the Betty because the Bison arn't a rival and not enough people would go to a game at the Ralph to make playing there worth it. Quote
forksandspoons Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 ill be the first to do a prediction on the NDSU game... I think UND has the better backcourt and NDSU has the better front court... I think UND's guards will get NDSU into some foul trouble and that will be the difference... UND 72, NDSU 68... Quote
jdub27 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 ill be the first to do a prediction on the NDSU game... I think UND has the better backcourt and NDSU has the better front court... I think UND's guards will get NDSU into some foul trouble and that will be the difference... UND 72, NDSU 68... Huff on Braun will likely be the big key in the game. Two years ago, Huff frustrated Braun to no end and got him off his game to the point where he got a technical. Last year, Huff was out and Braun had a big game (Brekke being out was pretty big for UND as well). Game is early in the season, hopefully both teams will be at full strength. No doubt the Betty will be absolutely rocking. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 UND's team this year will be a lot better than the team last year, especially the team we put on the floor against NDSU last year. Huff will be playing but we also have way more front court depth. Not to mention it's at the Betty this year and not the Fdome. I'm very excited for the NDSU game - it's great that it's early in the season too! Definitely going with a UND victory. This is our dancing year!! Quote
