siouxweet Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 und with a comfortable 3-1 win on friday and a saturday will be a one goal game either way. at this point the offense is a work in progress,so three goals will be an onslaught for the time being. I'm not saying UND won't sweep this weeknd but I've said it before in that this will be a typical first half under Hak considering all the youth. Quote

Yeah, we've also seen that an injured team can often be a more focused team, and less dependant on certain people. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 If Rocco plays like he is capable of and doesn't hit 4 posts this weekend, UND will sweep. Quote

as15 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I agree, Rocco needs to be more selfish than he was for the exhibition. He needs to realize there isn't a player in college hockey that can skate with him. Quote

Goon Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Well the Sioux better take advantage of this situation. No better time than now to sweep an opponent...don't believe we had a home sweep last year iirc... I know for a fact that UND swept Holy Cross. Quote

UNDBIZ Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 just do what he did inthe "shootout" on sunday and he won't hit any pipes His hands were so quick that move was unstoppable. I almost feel bad for the goalie, as I think Rocco took a little frustration out on him. Quote

Is the same move he did in the shootout at the Panthers camp, almost took out the goalie there lol too Quote
geaux_sioux Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 The shootout will be a great way for Rocco to get his groove back for just getting the puck past the goaltender. Quote

That was a dirty move on Sunday night... I will have an article about the shootout coming up in the next day or two. Everyone I talked to is excited about the shootout. Quote

Think about the shootout lineup we would have had in 2007. Quote
Redneksioux Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 How does the points system work now for otl's and so's? Edit...... Found it http://www.nchchockey.com/news_article/show/277202 Quote

Wilbur Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I think UND has a great 1-2 punch of Rocco and Parks in the shootout. Rocco has the hands and footwork to make a lot of great off balance moves which is tough on any goaltender. Parks is a finisher. Didn't show it last year, but when he is going in the right direction he finishes plays around the net. And the 3rd guy......hmmmmm......How about....ufff.....I guess Mark Mac. Quote

Think about the shootout lineup we would have had in 2007. Start with Oshie, Duncan, and Toews. Throw in Porter, Kozek, or VandeVelde if it goes past three rounds. And Genoway. Wow. Dave Quote

Stetcher Schamltz and Mattson would probably all be pretty good assuming their offensive skill would translate Quote
burd Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Murphy put on some good moves Sunday. It will be interesting to see how he develops. Quote
Rory Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Is it 7:37 pm yet! Drop the puck!!! No kidding. Taking my son and 2 of his buddies to the game tonight. Looking forward to a Sioux 4-2 win. Quote
