Grand Forks Economy

Don't know where to put this, but just heard on WDAZ news the highway department doesn't have enough money to plow the Interstate at night around Grand Forks because they don't have the manpower or funds, but they do around Fargo.  Would be interested to know the budget in other cities around the state.  If the roads aren't safe they should be closing them, rather than risk a tragic accident.  Where are our state representatives in issues like these? We pay more and more taxes, for less services.

Never has a state been so rich but poor at the same time.

Maybe citizens with plows should take matters into their own hands and plow as they make their way down the road.  Of course the state probably has enough money to pay highway patrol to bust them.  Seriously, if a busload of Fargo kids are involved in an accident coming back from games in Grand Forks, will it then become an issue, or do they have escort plows for them in that circumstance.   This is the INTERSTATE, not smaller highways we are talking about.  What better way to say "Welcome to North Dakota" than brutal road conditions that can get you killed.

“Burgum stressed that none of the Legacy Fund's $6 billion principal will be touched in his proposal.”

i think people won’t oppose him touching it for snow removal of a major road in the name of safety.

Sprint as fast as possible away from grocery store sushi...

I'm not a huge sushi fanatic, but the Hornbacher's sushi in Grand Forks was made fresh every day, and it is some of the best sushi rolls I have had. The staff that made the sushi were very nice people and always offered sample's if you were unsure if you would like a certain roll. That'll be the only thing I miss about Hornbacher's :(

Here’s the new proposed six story building where the Lyons Auto Repair bldg is.

Some people are complaining because an empty auto repair building will be torn down.  How many people live there?  Does that old building bring any vitality to Downtown?

I've been buying Hornbacher sushi every now and then when I'm there.

The key to grocery store sushi is to microwave it on defrost for a bit to get it slightly warm then it's not half bad.

Swore off Sushi, which may cause a number of parasite infections, including tape worms.  That’s why it wasn’t originally in western diets.

I’m good, and will continue to eat sushi, thanks.

I have an unbelievably high amount of bacteria fighters in my system which allows me to take on all parasites and destroy them internally.  Or at least that is what I tell myself.

But almost all pets and all pet owners have parasites too.

Some herbs and plants, but not beneficial bacteria, kill parasites.  Wormwood for example.

If we didn’t have parasites we would be very unhealthy. Why don’t you look up how hookworm might be a cure for allergies and asthma, that seems like something you’d enjoy looking into.

I go to a naturopath, and almost all of his clients that have pets have parasites too.  But they can all be eliminated by natural tonics and herbs.  Fleas often are parasite carriers.  Anything a pets plays with gets in his mouth and he often licks you and spreads parasites.

Our guts need beneficial bacteria or we would die.  Beneficial flora bacteria are far from parasites.  Any “treatment” using parasites is just like treating pain with opioids.  It’s like claiming that tapeworms help one lose weight.  There are better pain treatments, but the pharmaceutical industry won’t profit.  Just making tea from leaves of Avocado, guava, Guarana and Figs have great medicinal properties, like reducing blood sugar for prediabetes people.

Parasites include non-bacterial single celled organisms.  Many really sick people are full of them and modern doctors can not detect them.  But his methods do and they get a “miracle” cure.

Most sushi is typically frozen at -4° F or below for 7 days.  Even "fresh" sushi on the coasts.  This kills the parasites.  Also, I eat Sushi at grocery stores all the time - if you get it at the counter it can be made fresh, right in front of you.  However, microwaved sushi sounds disgusting haha.

I have this JD plow and if you want to use it when the highway needs help,  PM me.

It bothers me that are so anti-development that many people are complaining about wrecking the vacant Lyons Auto building and putting up a 6 floor apartment some people actually want to live in.  Their complaints are that there is no parking and that Lyons should become a museum, but didn’t state for what.  Its like downtown GF just supposed to one giant Pioneer Village romantically symbolizing  their childhood but with no people living there and no businesses.  Building over the 4th Str Park with apartments came to a vote, so I shouldn’t be surprised.
