AZSIOUX Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Six tough WCHA games until Xmas break. Starts..... @ CC DU @tech 3 points would be great! Quote
Blackheart Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I hope we get more than 3 points in 6 games... Quote
yzerman19 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Split CC, split DU, 3 points at Tech Quote
siouxweet Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I'll take a split this weekend. however, if they can build off their third period on saturday and come close to playing 120 minutes like that more than 2 points is a definate possibility. that said should they split I'm sure I will be complaining Quote
cberkas Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I think UND will sweep Colorado College, Thorimbert hasn't looked good this season, Howe who I believe is the better of the two goalies has looked bad also. If Zane plays this weekend give him the start Friday and Clarke the start Saterday. Quote
jodcon Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I watched the Denver-CC series on TV last week and Denver dominated the play, CC seems to be much like UND so far struggling to clear the defensive zone, they gave up 6 goals both nights to Denver and I think 6 and 4 this weekend to Yale and UNH, so we might be catching them at the right time, if we could sneak 3 or 4 points out of this series it would be huge. AZSIOUX Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Sorry meant 3 points this weekend Quote
Wilbur Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 CC's goaltending has been awful. Then again, so has Saturday for UND. I'll call a split. Quote
Emerald joker Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 If someone can do this, can some put up the 2 penaltys that wisconsin got that led to the minni 5 minute PPs. And possibly the check that put simpson down for a min that wasn't called, just want to see if it was bad. Thanks Quote
Oxbow6 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 CC's goaltending has been awful. Then again, so has Saturday for UND. I'll call a split. ^^^^^^…here is the explanation and answer to this series UND generally struggles in Springs. More than 2 points is a bonus. Less than 2 points..."it's still early!" IMO Berry needs to show why he was hired in these next 3 weekends. 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 If UND let's Rylan torch em like he did at the Ralph last yr., getting any points will not happen. Quote
siouxforce19 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 If UND let's Rylan torch em like he did at the Ralph last yr., getting any points will not happen. He torched us and his team still got swept... 1 Quote
siouxweet Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I just can't see CC going three straight weekends with no wins and until our squad shows us they can win two games in the same weekend. a split it must be. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 If UND let's Rylan torch em like he did at the Ralph last yr., getting any points will not happen. Everyone was so worried about the better brother Jaden too.... This weekend will breed a bit of race horse hockey. Hopefully UND's defensemen can keep up. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I will boldly say.... 3 points! We win on Friday and tie on Saturday Quote
hockeyfan84 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Any word on if the game will be broadcast via the web? Looks like CC's athletic site is down at least momentarily. Got to love living out in the middle of BF nowhere. EDIT: CC page back up looks like games are web cast cost around $7 for a 24 hour pass or $11 for the month. Quote
Wilbur Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Cough...bump.....cough... So the team flew out to Colorado today...... Quote
brianvf Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Cough...bump.....cough... So the team flew out to Colorado today...... What are they doing out there? Quote
Emerald joker Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Ignore that post people, just trying something out Quote
Old Barn Guy at Home Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Comment to all Berry detractors: Brad has more hockey knowledge in his pinky finger than all of us put together. To make comments that would seem to put yourself in a more knowledgeable position concerning hockey is laughable. I have worked with Brad and have known him since his playing days at UND. Believe me, if the D-men aren't performing up to the required standards in D1 hockey, Brad will get them there. It just might not be on the time-table that some posters feel is acceptable. If it's hard for any fan to watch the team in the early season, maybe those fans should just wait until January to begin their Sioux observations. I know this is a fan forum, and all have a right to express their opinions, but I just couldn't let it go on any longer without adding MY two cents worth. We are ALL (at least I hope we are) wanting the best for the team, and I am confident that Brad's contributions will help the team toward success in the future. 1 Quote

If I may play devil's advocate here, Mike Guentzel was away from the Gopher program for 5 years but he made an immediate and obvious difference in the Gophers D last year. So if UND's defensive unit isn't performing up to par yet than I think Sioux fans have a right to be concerned and even critical of Berry up to this point. Quote
jk Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Old Barn Guy: Thank you. It was getting a little silly. Quote
