talksalot83 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Well, even with the few flurries, this game has still been slightly more exciting than watching paint dry. Quote
Sodbuster Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 yep, in refernce to the new conference the play by play man whoever he is said "if this is any indication of what hockey in february will be like between wisconsin and penn state this will be gorgeous hockey" OMG. "Gorgeous Hockey"...........I don't think I've ever heard that before......and I don't think I ever want to hear it again. Quote

iluvdebbies Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State beats Wisconsin in OT, 3-2 ....and a huge hit in the pairwise...went from tied for 17th to tied for 28th. Quote
brianvf Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State beats Wisconsin in OT, 3-2 There goes any shot UW had in making the playoffs unless they win the F5. Quote
GFG Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State's ahead of Duluth in the PWR now Quote
Big A HG Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State's ahead of Duluth in the PWR now Not exactly, as neither are in the PWR because their RPI's aren't high enough...but yes, Penn State's RPI is higher than Duluth's. Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State beats Wisconsin in OT, 3-2 ...and the fund-raising begins in Madison for the million bucks to buy out Eaves...yikes. Quote
Blackheart Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Penn State beats Wisconsin in OT, 3-2 Wow, that is brutal! What a big kick in the nuts for the Badgers and their fans... Quote

sprig Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Next year's Gopher record in the BTN may look very similar to this year's Quinnipiac record in the ECAC. And that could go on for years. Second place will be very competitive though. And Wisco drops 10 spots to 27 in pairwise. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Well, at least now Wisconsin has its version of the "Holy Cross" to bear. RE: the "gorgeous hockey" comment -- I spit up coffee on my leather chair for as he said that the PSU player with the puck made a move and stripped himself of the puck in open ice in the offensive zone. I'm sending the leather cleaning bill to Jim Delaney and Barry Alvarez. Quote
sprig Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 BTN is really way over hyping the lousy product they are showing us, especially this Sunday/Monday series. Makes me wonder why Wisco built that huge ice surface that is the Kohl Center; that 1-2-2 style is so much easier on NHL ice. They do it fairly well on their big ice, however. Not sure where the offense comes from. If I were a highly regarded recruit, I'd really have to want to go there badly, certainly not to showcase any offensive talent I may possess. Quote

They were really trying to paint and polish that turd last night. ....it didnt work. Quote

fargosioux Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Miami's freshman goalie Ryan McKay is putting up ridiculous numbers this season. He's split time so has only played 15 games, but his GAA is currently at 1.05 and his SV% is at .962 with 3 shutouts. Can't believe the other goalie is still getting any starts. Quote

There's a reason they put so many defensemen in the NHL. Also the reason they don't seem to put many forwards in the NHL. The more talented scorers would rather go to a team where they can play offense Quote

Yeah, Rico loves to split time for his goalies. They've had strong goaltending in Oxford for years now using a two goalie system. They are pretty consistent with how they do it too. Quote
keikla Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 BU looks to be redeeming itself tonight...currently up 5-0 on Merrimack a little bit into the 3rd. UMass up 2-1 over BC just shy of halfway through the 3rd. Quote
