Wilbur Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Just watched some of the SDSU game highlights.....yikes.....gotta tackle fellas....wrap up.....wrap up....
tjbison Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Just watched some of the SDSU game highlights.....yikes.....gotta tackle fellas....wrap up.....wrap up.... Why, there is no time in the college football practice schedule to practice tackling..... Geez that a portion of the game that is natural no need to teach
Cratter Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 So the Big Sky has beaten at least three FBS programs this year. Can any other conference claim this?
bincitysioux Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 So the Big Sky has beaten at least three FBS programs this year. Can any other conference claim this? Make that 4 wins over FBS schools this year.................
UNDvince97-01 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Make that 4 wins over FBS schools this year................. .....which is more than any other FCS conference.
UNDBIZ Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 .....which is more than any other FCS conference. But only because the MWC is so terrible this year...... at least according to our sisters to the south If only the BSC had some wins over Colorado St this year..... cuz they're legit contenders
JohnboyND7 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 So the Big Sky has beaten at least three FBS programs this year. Can any other conference claim this? MVFC has NDSU over CSU ISU-R over EMU YSU over Pitt so one fewer, nice to see FCS winning.
darell1976 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 MVFC has NDSU over CSU ISU-R over EMU YSU over Pitt so one fewer, nice to see FCS winning. Which 12 people in Ypslanti was at the game.
mg2009 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 51 - 37 UND. Of course since this is the first time i've picked UND this year, so they will probably lose, as that is my defining relationship with UND athletics. Regarding mvfc vs bsc wins, both conferences have similar win% at fbs teams, and are both having banner years. The mvfc wins were more dominant against slightly less terrible competition. idaho< colorado < unlv = csu< emu < wyoming = pitt 1
UND Fan Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Once again, I certainly hope I am wrong: Sac St 38 UND 34
SWSiouxMN Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 UND 38 Sac St. 24 Poly also beats UC Davis to set up a major showdown next weekend at the Alerus.
UNDBIZ Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 UND 38 Sac St. 17 UND defense realizes how to tackle again, only getting beat on 2 long passes.
geaux_sioux Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 The D is going to show up this week. They are pissed off and embarrassed. The run game will make an appearance on saturday. Sac St. <20 UND>42 It's statement time
Wilbur Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I'll say UND 45, Sac St. 35. Doesn't matter if they're ticked off or not, they're still not that good of a defensive unit. (Would love to eat crow on Saturday night).

(Would love to eat crow on Saturday night). Cut the crap they lost two or three good players from last year and a couple role players. They're more athletic this year and have been in position to make plays but have missed tackles. The secondary played their best game of the year against SDSU, only one blown coverage and most catches were contested, they now need to do a better job of breaking up those contested passes and getting a pick or two. They're better than they've been playing. Also with the youth at certain positions they will improve every game.

WeAreNorthDakota Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I'll say 38-17 UND. Defense shows up, offense continues to roll, and UND football gets their first Big Sky conference win.
MoSiouxFan Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 34-31 UND in another nailbiter to set up the Cal-Poly game, in which I think we'll play our first complete game of the season on both sides of the ball to get off to a 2-0 start in the Big Sky.
Let'sGoHawks! Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 When (if) UND's defense shows up this year...this could be a very very scary team.
MoSiouxFan Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 When (if) UND's defense shows up this year...this could be a very very scary team. It's scary enough the way it is!!

geaux_sioux Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 When (if) UND's defense shows up this year...this could be a very very scary team. We're talking minimum 8-peat 1
geaux_sioux Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Has anyone noticed how different the play calling is this week by coach Breitbach? I've seen some very good route combos and ways to exploit mismatches.
