Hambone
For what it's worth, Demareyeh Lane has not committed anywhere yet. I'm thinking unlikely he ends up at UND, but he is a pretty good looking RB as well. Just some mid-day musings

sioux24/7
Chauncey Bridges is choosing between UND and Findlay tomorrow. What division is Findlay? I suppose it's choosing between playing close to home or playing FCS.

D2 in the GLIAC - same conference as Grand Valley. Also believe it is in (northern) Ohio.

jdub27
Connor Bolduc (Punter) is walking on. Should be interesting battle in camp with him, Taubenheim and Meindel, who still has 3 years of eligibility left. I think all 3 kicked and punted in high school but Bolduc and Meindel are better punters than kickers with Taubenheim being the opposite. UND92,96
Cedric Simmons has committed to UND, per SFI.
UND-FB-FAN
Cedric Simmons has committed to UND, per SFI. That's great! Along with PJ Sparks, Adam Shaugabay, and Patrick Sharp, we should have a nice stable of backs for next season! Also, we may still have a RB commit we won't know about until tomorrow. Westside
Anyone know if Simmons has 2 or 3 years of eligibility remaining? I know he graduated from HS in 2011 but the Mesa CC 2013 roster listed him as a Fr. http://athletics.mesacc.edu/football/football-roster-2013 He doesn't show up on the Mesa 2012 roster or any of their 2012 box scores either. Hopefully, he has 3 years of eligibility...
dmksioux
He initially signed with San Jose State. Not sure if he enrolled or practiced with the team but perhaps he "used" a year there? Edit: he shows up on there 2012 roster here... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/rosters/san-jose-state-spartans/2012/byLAST_NM.html?mobile=no

Yeah, I was just searching & it looks like he shows up on the SJ 2012 roster. Guessing he has 2 years left.
UNDBIZ
Well if he red shirted with SJSU then he'd still have 3 years, correct?

Wonder if Mesa could be a pipeline for JUCO kids.

UND99
You are correct I believe. Here's a link to Simmons' bio in the 2012 SJSU Media Guide: http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/5723c8ed#/5723c8ed/
Westside
Everything I've seen online says he graduated HS in 2011, so anyone know if he was at SJSU in fall 2011 as well? It's been confirmed he was there in spring 2012 & fall 2012... Perhaps a gray-shirt that first semester in fall 2011??? EDIT: Just saw the link UND99 posted & says Simmons joined SJSU for spring practice 2012. Carry on....
Teeder11
Maybe Simmons can get a shot at his old team in the first game of the 2014 season. http://www.hudl.com/team/4816/highlights/32911821

Hambone
Still curious about St Louis and Miami. Rudolph St Germain is the only Miami connection I've seen (and he had potential grade issues)and don't know anyone from St Louis that we were after. Should be fun tomorrow! forksandspoons
this backfield coming into next fall seems it should be much better than the last couple years.. with a different offense, that right there could be a big difference in the W-L column... an actual RUN GAME!!! Anyone know if the athletic department is doing an all morning chat like they have in the past with different coaches taking questions? Was very enjoyable in the past and would hope they are doing it again.
