Big A HG Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Here's a picture I dug up of Miles. He should fit in nicely, especially for the Gophers series. Quote
redwing77 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 This kids' dad produces tv shows. Could be Brad Miller Time's big break. Quote
brianvf Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 There were some rumors floating around the internet that Grimaldi had attended the WHL's Portland Winterhawks training camp. Especially when the Winterhawks didn't want to reveal the name of said player, he was small, and he was lighting it up. http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/juniorhockey/blog/buzzing_the_net/post/Unravelling-the-mystery-of-the-Winterhawks-mask?urn=juniorhockey-267420 http://communities.canada.com/theprovince/blogs/dubhub/archive/2010/08/31/whl-fans-shouldn-t-get-to-excited-about-grimaldi-tales.aspx http://gdrinnan.blogspot.com/2010/09/legend-of-red-no-23-grows.html Not Grimaldi though. Grimaldi is a right hand shot, the "mystery player" was a leftie. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 It appears that we have a new recruited player: Welcome aboard, Miles! With him being on the U17 team, I would guess the earliest that we would see him at UND would be 2012 or 2013. Glad to see another quality forward but ... Quote
ticklethetwine Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Glad to see another quality forward but ... Agreed. That is why I hope we can land Jordan Schmaltz. Quote
siouxnami Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Koules is the 16-year-old son of Oren Koules, a former part-owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the producer of the "Saw" movies and CBS television show "Two and a Half Men." I expect that Brad Miller Time is about to take a very dark turn... Quote
Just Curious Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Mark MacMillan hurt his wrist in the Vees first regular season game. He will be out for a while. http://pentictonvees.podbean.com/ Quote
brianvf Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 The new U18 team was announced: http://www.usahockey.com/USANTDP/default.aspx?NAV=AF_01_02&ID=233682 Grimaldi is on there, as is JT Miller, who also visited UND with Rocco. For those people that want to see a dman recruit or two added, there are only two uncommitted dmen on the roster. Also on the team is Matt Van Voorhis, who was rumored to be a Sioux fan before committing to DU. UND plays an exhibition against the U18 team on 12/18. The team plays a pretty good schedule of D1 teams...it will be interesting to see how well Rocco does against them. Quote

tnt Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Grimaldi with a goal in a loss tonight. Also saw Gothberg with a 24-save shutout of Chicago and Danny Mattson earlier this week. Colton St. Clair with a goal in each of his two outings this week, and Mattson with 3 assists and 5 shots in Chicago win tonight. Can't wait until the regular season starts. Quote

Does anyone know what is going on with his game. He was so well thought of at Holy Angels then he disappeared as he surprisingly went undrafted in 09 and then again last year as well.. Quote
Big A HG Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Plans are me and my fiancee to attend Green Bay vs. Fargo on Oct 2. I'm pumped, it'll be a little taste of hockey before watching the Manitoba exhibition the following night. Quote
PHE Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 How did Mattson look? Does anyone know what is going on with his game. He was so well thought of at St. Johns then he disappeared as he surprisingly went undrafted in 09 and then again last year as well.. I'm guessing you meant Holy Angels and not St John's . Mattson had a great high school career and is still very talented. I think the Hak and company recognized that he needed to work on a few things in juniors, namely not being shy about going into the corners. My guess is that he'll make big strides this year in Chicago. I'm anxious to see him skating for the Sioux in the fall of 2011. Quote

Just Curious Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Any info on why Michael Parks has not played in the last few games for Cedar Rapids?? Is he hurt, injured, or are they just playing new players to make some final cuts? Quote
