Add a guy like Zakreski who looks like a typical Sioux guy (grit, skill) plus can score...looks to be a very good incoming FR class, for sure. Wonder if we'll see a goalie tandem situation or if Homer will be the guy? 1 Quote

My inebriated scouting takes on Zakreski may be painting the wrong picture; he's probably got a learning curve as the game speeds up. No historical perspective going from MJ to NCAA, only the other way, which sees people's stats explode (Tambo comes to mind). But full 60, leadership by example, finishing checks, and responsible play (hasn't taken a penalty in the dozen or so games I've had an eye on him) will be hallmarks. Quote

From this, I think he'll fit in just fine. Looking at what this team has right now for a lineup. I don't think UND is going to blow anybody out with scoring, for sure. But the groundwork is there for a very solid team that relies on great defense/goaltending and hopefully transitions quicker to get the forwards some chances. 1 Quote

And once they become upperclassmen, hopefully they can dominate the league. 1 Quote

Very exciting puzzle pieces just the same! Now I’m hoping Dane can get them to jell with some fire in their bellies. If this incoming squad plays like that, I will be happy to go watch them show off their skills! 1 Quote

Wonder also what this ends up meaning for Heil. Is he going to be interested in coming in only a year behind this guy? He had his chances. Neither of our goalies exactly jumped out or stole any games. I'm hardly going to feel bad for Hobie ... sucks for him, but if you want the job ... earn it. Quote
