The funny part is my nephew, Bobby Brink, was poke-checked by the Carolina goalie on his shootout bid, and then Blake scores. Told my wife two Breakaway Hockey alumni to end the shootout.

My response was to his recent interview he did after being inducted to the US hockey hall of fame.

Coaching staff should have a list of about 5-10 former players to be called whenever a current players is contemplating leaving early.  Give the list to the the player and just tell him.  If you leave good luck, but before you make your final decision give a call to a few of these guys and see what they have to say.

They will never have it as good as they do right now in college, especially at UND.

The only time they will have it better than at UND is if they make it to the NHL right away but even then, they still need to figure out how to manage their time like a professional. Oshie just about killed his career when he left early for the NHL, due to him not being mature enough for the grind of being a professional.
