Rucker back is a cornerstone for the defense.

I think he made the correct decision. Dominate again at this level, and he’ll have a chance to prove himself at the next level.

2026 schedule....

Long Island....that's a win.

St. Thomas.....win.

At Portland State.....win.

At Nebraska.....no more Pat Maholms Jr. At QB....

Northern Iowa.....win.

At ISU Blue.....win.

South Dakota.....win.

At SDSU.....loss.

At SIU....win

Murray......win

At Youngstown.....Beau will be tough at his place.

NDSU....I'll call this a win at home.

Way too early record projects out to be in the 9-3 ballpark.  They should be 3-0 heading into Nebraska, can't falter at Portland State....that team was awful this year, but a new coach this year.

Two huge games to end the season.  Unless they lose a lot, YSU will definitely be tough on the road with Beau coming back. It's nice to not have to automatically chalk this up as a loss like we did before. Will be a good game.

Is that a new position or did we lose a coach?

We lost a coach.  The position was previously held by Malik Bradshaw this past season.  What I believe is Schmidt will likely bring in someone with lots of wr coaching experience.

And how many WR coaches with LOTS of experience are gonna hire on at $60,000?

FCS position coach salaries vary widely but generally range from modest stipends (high school level) to tens of thousands, with coordinators making more, averaging around $30k-$70k+ for non-coordinator assistants

It looks like UND's receivers coach from 2019 to 2024--Sam King--will be looking for a job. Wasn't retained when Schmidt took over, and was at Washington State this past year, but like Freund, it doesn't appear Rogers is bringing him to Iowa State.

After their bowl game win I think Danny will stay but not sure on king. Think they put up over 600 yards of offense so that made Danny look good.

Quick online search took me to a Bobcat fan forum.  A post claimed that their WR Coach made $72,000, post was from 2023.  Poster claimed to have insider knowledge so take that for what's it's worth.  Search also brought up  a Fargo Forum article from 2022.  Article had all Bison assistants salaries listed.  WR coach was getting $81,000 3 years ago.

That was the base salary or that's what he received after bonuses?

Went back and  looked.  Article says here are salaries as of November 21, so before any playoff bonuses.  Article compared the 2 schools salaries.  Exact amounts listed were.  Noah Pauley $81,029.  Sam King $44,948.

I feel like that would be pretty surprising if he stays beings he wouldn’t be the OC. Wazzu is hiring Matt Miller for that role. Danny could take on the QB coach position but I think he can get a better role elsewhere
