Serious momentum with that second half. Defense is absolutely elite. This team just needs the offense to be average (plus FG’s). I know it looks really easy when you can run the ball, but Simon looked fine after the first couple series. 
 

They have a shot next weekend.

The first couple of runs by Z was like watching Popeye eat some spinach for the offense. Suddenly everyone had more confidence and strength.

Chuckled at the comment earlier in the thread about the game looking like drunken uncle football on thanksgiving...that third quarter was some comically bad football, from both teams' offenses and special teams to the officiating.

TT wasn't very good.  Our defense played great and made a bunch of plays though, as has been said many times throughout the thread.  Thanks goodness for all of those turnovers, otherwise we probably lose.

The no-call on Jerry's injury is inexcusable.  Seems they typically error on throwing a flag there and then can pick it up on review.  Not sure it can be reviewed if there is no call on the field.  White hat was looking right at it, ridiculous.

I would agree that you probably need to start Simon next week even if Jerry clears (which is probably unlikely).  Jerry is just doing next to nothing right lately.

Our running scheme just doesn't seem to fit Seidl's talent very well.  Need to get him in space with sweeps, swing and screen passes, etc. and there's little of that.  Just running him up the gut hasn't been working since the SIU game.  Ziebarth is so much better at that.  No idea why he had 1 carry through 3 quarters or whatever it was.

Schmittys first year and he gets Unds first D1 playoff win ( sorry don’t count the covid year playoff win).  
An absolute defensive master piece!  Coaching clearly makes a difference. Und had one of the worst Ds in the fcs only one year ago.  Now they have, imo, the best D in the fcs.  Will not speak on the offense.
