No happy medium?? That does sum up this season. Kick butt or choke late on end of game drives to go ahead/win. Quote

Like not having JTJ on sideline ready to go changed his mentality or something. This week think he had some definitely bad passes that were better placed prior, some past weeks I thought there was more drops on well placed balls. The 2ints today the type of throw should've been the type he threw on the other one. The last INT looked short and looked like he was trying to place it where wr could dive and catch it but the DB had excellent inside position with help from the turf to int it and WR was not cleared enough of him for that. The softer over the top drop in could've worked on that one as there was no safety help. More back corner of the end zone. Also wouldve preferred the wide open guy crossing the middle of the field that would've cut the distance in half, could've probably gotten out of bounds to give 2 attempts from much closer. The other INT he threw it way to soft on a lob play, possibly still under thrown but gave plenty of time for the safety that was in vincinity over the top to get it. The bullet he threw later in the game to split 2 dbs would've been money. Quote

I don't think so since the OC has not had a complete game plan that has worked and keeps going away from things that are working. Like 3 straight passes when you have opportunity to eat clock with the lead after a big stop and then turn the ball back over, or 3 passes from the 2, when the previous TD was a easy 2 yard run for SS. There have been times of designed runs by Jerry have been head scratchers when they have the RBs that they have consistently getting more yards. The best runs by Jerry are either when he decides to go after coverage allows on a called pass play, or when he been extending the field with the pass that opened up on RPO, until late in the game the RPO wasn't doing anything each time he kept it. 2 1 Quote
MinnDak Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM NDSU showing true colors of a weak D line and O line but still continue to win. UND showing weak coaches and players that can’t make game changing plays. Status quo. The FCS is incredibly watered down. However, SDSU and Murray are guaranteed wins for Hawks. Quote

Popular Post fightingsioux4life Posted yesterday at 04:57 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 04:57 AM Anyone who wants to give up on the season is welcome to. I'm not. We'll probably roll over (Bill) Murray State and then the season will be on the line at home vs. SDSU. We had better not have only 5 or 6 thousand there. The team will need our support more than ever. 5 Quote

Actually 6 game winning opportunities without a success. Once in each loss with two chances each at USD and NDSU. The last chance here at NDSU was the only one I remember that looked good for a while. Isaac has to make sure we start those drives with plays that have a high probability of success and allow Jerry to get in a a rhythm and get some confidence. 0-6 has to create a come to Jesus moment for Isaac, and the answer isn't going to be a different QB. 1 Quote

Oxbow6 Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM Total plays: NDSU 51. UND 81. Yards per carry: UND 2.7 Yards per pass attempt: UND 4.8 For context... Average yards per rush in NFL was 4.3 last season. College (FBS) was 4.4. Average yards per pass attempt in NFL was 7.4 last season. College (FBS) was 7.5. Throw in 3 picks......and a missed chip shot FG. Inept might be too kind when discussing yesterday's offensive performance. Quote

It has to be understanding the playbook or route running ability. He ran a terrible route when we threw the ball six time in a row from the 2. Also he was in a couple plays before that. Speaking of that you should screen shot the throw to the TE on 3rd down there. Quote
