Saluting after a win is fine, live for the moment and make every game memorable. Saluting after a loss is definitely not something a blue blood does.

I just think Ledgies shouldn’t be allowed to use the elevator more than 2 times per weekend.    If they wanna be up and down as the breeze changes, fine; let them use the stairs.

Are you kidding with this comment? Cuz it’s hard for me to tell if you don’t know when usually do it or if you’re just being a d**k. This has nothing to do with arrogance or being haughty. We’ve had a tradition for 20(ish?) years and they changed it up; it’s more confusion and curiosity.

If it’s the new tradition I actually think it’s cool. Heck I wouldn’t even mind if they did it every home game win or lose just to show appreciation for the fans. But the change was random.

…and you do realize that it was copied from Minnesota, and they apparently only did it after a sweep. That is why they mocked us doing it with a win and tie.  Again, gopher arrogance!  Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I have seen them do the salute without a sweep now.

I don't understand this hill you want to stand on over this. It has been a custom for many years and has changed. It is valid for people to have an opinion on it just like you clearly do. :silly:

I’m not the one complaining, as I don’t care one way or another about a “tradition” copied from our rival.  The people that are appalled by the salute should take it up with the coaches or the Ralph if they have such a problem with it.

You are complaining about the people who made comment about the stick salute. Last I checked, this is a public forum where thoughts and opinions can be shared. It was a change so there were comments about it. Don't think it is any deeper than that. Going to leave it at that. Cheers. On to next series.

Not appalled, just was surprised. And you say “gopher arrogance” even after I said if they want to do it any home game I’m good with it. New traditions are fine, I just didn’t know the rationale for it. End of story.

If anyone went anywhere the ledge during that game, they missed most of it. Even though Duluth’s first shot went it, we still went almost 9 mins before they got their first shot on goal. Wire to wire impressive performance and was the definition of a #full60. That’s the type of game where even if we would have somehow lost, we played the right way.

Didn't the TCoS debate getting hashed and rehashed last year, or the year before....   Everybody is doing it, all the time, everywhere....

It's jumped the shark...   move on or get stale.

We sat behind the end where the Sioux defended twice 6 rows up behind the net. All D played pretty damn well but Verhoeff really stood out to me. He plays like a seasoned vet. No panic in his game and sees the ice so well. We are lucky to have him for sure

Did you make it Harry’s

So did Jackson try matching lines with the Plante/Plante/Shaugabay line this weekend? Or did he just roll his lines?

Sounds like Ollie's line was matched up against them as much as possible.

Josephson’s contributions weren’t limited to offense. The freshman centered UND’s third line alongside sophomore Cody Croal and senior Tyler Young. That line was primarily deployed against UMD’s elite top line.

Max Plante, Zam Plante, and Jayson Shaugabay feasted for the Bulldogs — they combined for 10 points — but they failed to score a 5-on-5 goal when matched against Josephson's line.

Sorry if this was mentioned during the thread last night, but Jax taking his timeout in the 2nd period up 3-1 was brilliant. The ice was tilting a little bit, we took an icing with tired guys. He takes his timeout, get our matchup, and boom Duluth’s momentum was gone. Not to hate on Berry, but those are the moments where he would have had the guys fight it at the wrong time with the wrong matchup and then the game would have swung the other way. Right away it felt like the right decision and it seemed small but was big.

Think they were shaking it up around the covid year if I remember correctly
