At least we helped get Clarkson's PP back on track.

Three of their goals were from in tight.  They didn't beat us with skill, they beat us with grit.
You could tell they came out with the mindset to get in UND's head and make us take penalties.  Every whistle they were right in front of Homer, hoping for a reaction.  If our PP was better than horrible, we could have made them pay early for that.

Tomorrow...maybe Spunar?  Also, need to defend much better in front of the net and take away those rebound chances.
Need that split tomorrow otherwise we're in a hole at the beginning, just like last year.

This is some expert insight.  After all the changes, all the hype, all the accolades, best arena in college hockey.  What have you got? A 10-20 year old reputation that doesn't carry water on the rink anymore. Putrid last two games.  Glad I only watch 3-4 games a year. This program has problems. Terrible passing, no grit, weak goaltending.  Too many prima donnas reading their press clippings.  Nuff said.

What a dud of a performance tonight. Everything looked like half speed, all around sloppy, really soft on pucks. Continue to struggle in the net with bad rebounds. Got lost in dzone a number of times again. Not many chances offensively from quality scoring areas.

Is it me or does Clarkson make it incredibly difficult to get pucks to the middle of the ice in their zone? Seemed like UND was doing all kinds of board work down below the net and to the side and just couldn’t find any seams to pass to cross ice.
 

Gotta tip my hat to Clarkson and how their style of play bested us. It sure ain’t pretty but it was effective against us tonight. Let’s hope Jackson and staff can make the right adjustments for tomorrow and we can salvage a split.
