can see why they don't lose at home.  multiple borderline calls on us to keep td drive alive.

last play by us - holding wr arm and wrapped around his chest holding him and nothing.  Really bs

Those would typically be called borderline, if they were the ones that go either way all game long. But when all 2nd half our receivers can be completely wrapped up and no call those can't even be called borderline anymore. That was terrible.

Man, you give up easily.

I said there would be growing pains early on in the season.

But I do think we'll learn from our mistakes and get better as the season goes on.

But feel free to give up if you want.

Problem is NDSU wins these games and we “still” don’t. Ugh!

Exactly.

We had 460 yards of offense and only score 23 points, because of poor kicking which lead to 2 times not trying for kicks and awful play calling again.

He was fine last year, and I could understand a miss in outdoor windy conditions. Missing inside the Alerus Center is a different matter though.

Just looked it up.

Elrichs was 14-19 last year.  with 1 of those being blocked.  Pretty good numbers but he's struggling this year for sure.

We also should've had something drawn up to atleast drain any sort of clock when having the FB with the lead under 5 minutes. Same thing at KSU, can't find a way to get anything off the clock leaving tons of time. Also if they were manned up so close in tight how did no receiver find any space on that last series, I would assume they were playing no deeps (unlike UND who played give them open deeps on last drive), and man upped as they were grabbing our guys on flats, was there nothing in the middle at all?

UND football.......snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! Repeat over and over. They call it football for a reason. Can you spell KICKING GAME!!

Maybe one of the girls on the soccer team wants to try kicking.

Should have put it away early, but good god with the calls in the last 4 minutes.  Bailed out twice with pi calls on Grant that were iffy to say the least and then that last mugging with no call.  Big sky officiating lived up to its reputation.

Had a chance to take the refs out of the game during 2nd quarter.

I still thought too many fades when we started to establish a drive after getting a 1st down. Get a 2 yard run and than a fade call put us in 3 and 8 with them playing pass.

That extra point miss plain old sucked, we did not chase the point (I think we or 0 for forever when trying to catch extra points).

I cannot overly blame the D, when the offense had one sustained drive the 2nd half. A good team will find weaknesses and start finding things that work with more opportunities.

But didn’t he just make his last attempt before that?  To not even try on 2 occasions seems strange in a game where your defense is playing well.

i can only recall one time not trying for kicks the 4th from the like 3 in the 1st half. The series right before half I think totally expected to be able to get a play off with the 6/7 secs we had, usually that is a attempt at the end zone or throw away to keep clock, think the last play before half was completely Jerry deciding not to spike it thinking he could catch them off guard or thinking the clock would run out if he spiked it.

This loss is on coaching decision of not taking points in the first half. When on road always take points available especially when your up. I will like to see Schmidt come out now take responsibility for this loss it will tell me a lot on the future of this program and what he is trying to instill. He didn’t follow through on consistency of sound principals in coaching at end of first half not only did he make mistake once he repeated the same mistake for sure cost us home field if we make playoffs or worse we don’t make the playoffs with this loss if this would have been Bubba he would probably been gone for next week.

Schmidt took over this program literally 10 months ago. He is working with (mostly) Bubba's leftovers. Did you really think we were going to be great immediately?

Cripes, this really is an instant gratification world we live in.
