He would have fit in well at North Dakota. McKenna just wasn't going to be a fit based on price & his approach. Agree with KEM for the most part as well. Quote

For that one, I wore a ref shirt, dark sunglasses, a red-tipped cane, and used a toy/stuffed dog that "led" me around. Way too many people cleared way for me, so soon I dropped the cane. In an 80's haze, I remember seeing a girl wearing a grass skirt, and asking her if I could mow her skirt. She didn't take me up on the offer. Oh... and the hockey was great too. Goalies were badly mismatched vs shooters in the 1980's. Thanks for posting! 1 2 Quote

Those were the days. I was at this game. Next season they made a rule that you couldn't be under .500 and make the tournament as an at large. That was a heckuva atmosphere. Quote

cberkas Posted Thursday at 11:56 PM Posted Thursday at 11:56 PM I could see 5 defensemen leaving Quote
TwamleyShuffle Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Came close to checking the box we care the most about. If Jax and Co. can build a team with this limited amount of time and take us to the F4, I think it’s reasonable that we will be back. Thank you seniors for the memories and best wishes for those who paved the way and made this year a special year. 4 Quote

Oldguy Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Overall, the season was a success. More so than anyone would have thought last April. To come into the FF and get pushed around and shut down by UW though, that was plain ugly. Leaves a very bad taste, especially after Jax talked in articles about focusing in and leaving everything on the table. Boys never made a serious push for the whole game. 1 Quote

Engel stays if he thinks he can't find a D1 spot elsewhere. He was months away from playing D3 if North Dakota didn't take him. Wonder if he's fine staying around as a mostly practice player Quote
jk Posted yesterday at 02:15 AM Posted yesterday at 02:15 AM If I have this right ... Hak took his first team to a national title game loss, and never got that far again. Berry took his first team to a national title, and never got that far again. Jax took his first team to a national semifinal loss. C'mon, break the streak! Quote

Blackheart Posted yesterday at 05:03 AM Posted yesterday at 05:03 AM Sucks that the season ended with what looked like a subpar effort but man was it fun to be playing the final weekend again. Lots of good moments from this season; no reason not to be optimistic for next year. 2 Quote

It's a 60 minute game guys. Let's remedy that issue. Goals in the 1st, for or against really impact the game dramatically. Quote

If you can figure out why a team comes out flat you probably have a good coaching career ahead of you. Wisconsin coming out with an aggressive forecheck had a lot to do with our first period struggles. At that point you make adjustments to combat that. Sioux power play looked punchless against a team with a 70% kill rate; that was definitely an area that could have been better. Any chance UND looked past UW a little anticipating a matchup with DU or Michigan? It’s definitely not the way anybody wanted the season to end but hopefully guys will learn from this moment. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Flat might be being kind, outshot 16-4 in the first wasn’t the way I’m sure they wanted to start and it could have been worse if not for the Spoon. Quote
