So really. Why would sacha come to und for a year and now leave. He had time before signing his letter of intent. He could have backed out and played another year of junior hockey. How do teams like Minnesota and Denver keep their talented players from entering the portal.

Certain factions within the locker room may have demanded it.

In any event, you should never allow the players to dictate who gets to run the #1 program on campus.

It is well known that Chaves wanted to hire someone before the portal opened as to not lose any players to it. At least that was part of the thinking here.

Minnesota rosters are 85-90% Minnesotan (most of whom dreamed of playing for the Gophers), Denver has Carle. Those are my thoughts on it.

Per source the players did NOT want Jackson to be head coach. The thing I found interesting, Jackson’s oldest son lives with Livanavage. Maybe abuse of power?

Yes. Dane did 70%, Karl & Dillion the other roughly 30%. It is like this with most college hockey teams. Other sports do it differently.

If it’s true that Perron (and perhaps others) had deals worked out with other schools dating back several weeks and the coaches knew it, does it make sense to have played them? Just asking for thoughts on that. Seems if you know that you’re gone after the season ends, might compromise your work ethic and such having one skate out the door already, so to speak.
