My mistake, once Iowa fired Fran it was pretty well known he wanted to come back home but there wasn't any interest from Minnesota so St. Thomas was the logical landing spot.

Yep unfortunate that he’s had coaching changes at both his stops. He’ll be all conference this year and back in the big 10 next year

Hard pass. Recruit an actual big guy

Why would we do that?

Haven’t you seen how this tactic has worked out for us the last 6 years?

Lot of recruiting going on. Players have to be the one's to let it out.

Hopefully it’s a domino and get one and then the rest right after - whatever scholarships we actually have - big holes all over to fill all over so not expecting much this year. Ugly

Dom  izzo just said ndsu is struggling to get men’s bb players because they don’t have the nil funds to compete

2 things you can bet on getting things screwed up by are the ncaa and the us government

NIL money for mid-major women's BB is not a thing.

I’m very aware

The point is, it’s just another excuse by a coach when things aren’t going their way.

Easy to blame NIL and the transfer portal

He is doing a great job but think we are comparing apples to oranges here.

Also, if Trey is really going to get $1.5m, that’s bananas. Wherever he ends up is going to be real disappointed when he just disappears for games.

Yeah wasn’t my best analogy.

I’ll own that one.

But it shows that a coach matters. Some just figure out ways to get things done and others make excuses.

One of the UND WBB players who transferred asked a P4 school about a fairly small amount of NIL money (compared to MBB, but still more than anyone is currently getting at UND) and they basically laughed.

Guess she should've hired an agent
