First time all season I’ll say it…coaching may be an issue. I’d be shocked if Boisvert is back. There seems to be heavy heavy favoritism. That was Geno's downfall. 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted March 1 Posted March 1 PK subpar again. Scored enough goals to be competitive and certainly showed effort until the end, to that I say kudos! All the penalties, real and phantom, just killed the Sioux again. That slow start in the first certainly didn't help but it seemed much more even in the second and third. Congrats to Western on their first Penrose. 2 Quote
brianvf Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I'd like to see WMU have a Penrose hangover tomorrow. But I'm guessing we'll see them just win their 4th game against us this season instead. Quote

Popular Post scpa0305 Posted March 1 Popular Post Posted March 1 We need to play our best players a lot. How 8, 15 and 29 are out there for every pp but barely have any consistent offensive production is beyond me. I know 15 has kind of been heating up a little…but his leash is so long. 9 is a first rounder that has to play in those end of game moments, he’s also been solid this year. 1 11 Quote

At least we know that Berry won't have those options on the PP next season. Assuming Berry is around next season. So hopefully guys like Boisvert, Perron, and James can stick around and get slotted into those roles. Quote

Godsmack Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I stuck around to watch Western’s celebration. It was fun to see for their program and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your feelings for our current NCHC commissioner, her mic wasn’t working so we couldn’t hear her talk as she awarded the Penrose cup to the Broncos. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 Hammer won the Brimsek, then USHL goalie of the year, then the Clark Cup, now the Penrose. But on a positive note for UND Kaleb Johnson will be 100% ready to go next year. 2 Quote

Since they have been doing it for the last 4 years, do they bring in another portal goalie, does Hobey go to the portal, do they bring in Hail next season to play with Hobey or a portal goalie? Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If UND gets to the X as a 4/5 seed and after watching WMU dismantle them in three games I can't wrap my head around how UND beats them in mid March. TJ gave up 5 last night but he was the least of this team's issues. Quote

farce poobah Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Last night's pre-game, game and post-game had the look and feel of a coaching staff that's going through the motions. It's time for a change. 2 Quote
