I’ll give Jammer a little more leeway since he got injured 2 weeks after the Duluth series. He hasn’t had the punch he had prior to his injury but he still seems to play with a pace and edge that Kunz lacks. I’d take him or strinden on the power play as the net front guy any day of the week over Kunz because they have the quickness the get a greasy one down low. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted yesterday at 05:15 AM Posted yesterday at 05:15 AM The difference is Hermantown puts out high end D1. There are a few D1 players from GF and Fargo that just haven't been blue blood caliber. Locals prop up their program more than ours. Quote

Local kids from the Hermantown area or part of their recruiting class? Quote

I don't follow MNHS close enough to confirm, but my understanding is the "recruits" are from Duluth, so really no different than what happens in the cities with parents getting an apartment or using a friend's address. Either way, they've wanted to go to UMD for the most part. Quote

When he was asked at a press conference this week about what UND needs to do to break out of its Friday night struggles, he was fired up enough to drop an expletive. If McLaughlin brings that same fire to the ice, he will get rewarded. 1 Quote

Three weekends left in NCHC play and UND some how is in 4th place in the league by a point over Denver and 2 points over CC, who got the gift of Miami at home. Denver heads to Oxford this weekend, I'll assume they end up with 6 points in that one. Duluth is pretty locked into 7th place after they took four points from ASU at Amsoil after two OT games. The Plante brothers are healthy, and the guy that was supposed to be the backup, Knapp, has put together some performances and has taken over the net. Max Plante is 4th on their team in scoring, even after missing 13 games. For UND hopefully you get Sacha or Perron back, but if not the kids that played Saturday did fine in place of other guys that didn't suit up. Gotta sweep as Denver has their next four with #9 and #8 before we head to Lawson, where the Penrose could be in the building. I'll say a split. We win Friday. This game could be a whole lot different then the earlier two games. For the rest of the year all games have to be like the last Denver game. 1 Quote
