The watered down FCS is basically the 4 Dakota schools and two Montana schools then some salvageable trash. Problem is UND is continuously 6th of the aforementioned teams.

Same. The players deserve another game

If UND played even a 30th ranked SOS, they’d likely be 9-3 and in the convo for a top 8 seed 

unfortunately i think we will be the first team out. 

gotta win the games on your schedule, especially when you’re the better team for the majority of the game

Asking the right questions. Playoffs should be priority, FBS games don't help get you there. Home games also more valuable to the community.

I don’t know what that is (playoffs vs not), but I’m hoping for whatever is best for this program long term. If that’s missing the playoffs, but that helps them have more time to secure the 2025 class (maybe have a few coaches stay w/ the Beavers, Heading, etc until Dec 3) / give more attention to JUCO recruits. More motivation for returning players? Or if it’s making the playoffs and hoping for a run to get some program momentum. IMO, worst case scenario would be making the playoffs, but losing RD 1.

Yes. Having Chaves on the committee 100% helps. How long are they on the committee? If it’s multiple years, I don’t know how there wouldn’t be a “don’t piss this person off” factor in fear of retaliation in upcoming years. Which would only be a concern if their school is wronged.

New Hampshire 8-3 FCS 6-2 CAA

lost to two seeded teams and a 7-3 team 

Beat Monmouth 

five game winning streak 

 

Lamar 8-3 FCS 5-3 south land 

lost to mcneese, UIW and SFA 

beat South Dakota and SELA

 

New Hampshire is a lock imo   Lamar has a better combo of wins and 8 wins to 7 for und

I will add ….if the committee looks at all important close loss criteria und should be in.  The games that they haven’t been able to win is unds best resume to get in.

This is a critically important post because it is pure truth and encompasses the landscape entirely, as well as focusing in on UND’s goals: beat the Dakota schools and the Montana schools and you’ll get to where we want to go. This year we went 0-4….

Of course, but absolutely controlling the game against the best team in the country is worth 10x that imo.
