Emery seems to have some fire in his belly.

Seems like opposing teams know he may have a bit of a hot head.  Always seems like he's getting chirped or in a skirmish.

The team should have 1 slogan & 1 slogan only: "Play for 60". Paint it in the locker room, sew it on their uniforms, tattoo it on visible parts of their bodies, play subliminal "Play for 60" tapes while they're sleeping, engrave it on their glasses & utensils in the dining hall, embroider it into their bedding & underwear ... whatever it takes to get the message across to instill a complete game in each & every player. These prolonged gaffes during games where they mentally checkout will cost them against better teams.

For Hobie, hard to develop your skills in net when streaky senior transfer goalies are constantly eating up your minutes. I don't get it. TJ may have solid games here & there, but he's prone to major brainfarts; plus Hobie will be the primary goalie next year anyway so he needs some important starts to gain experience & become more polished (you would think anyway, unless Berry can get another senior transfer goalie, maybe from the CCHA next time).

2024-25 goalie comparison:

TJ: 5 GP, 3.12, .882

HH: 3 GP, 2.25, .913

Been happening for the past how many years, why would next year be any different.  If ya can’t recruit might as well grab from the scrap pile.

Caleb Heil is currently 6-0-1 with a 2nd best in the USHL 2.12 GAA and a 5th best .917 sv %

But, whatever helps your narrative, I guess.

uh-huh, ok. Believe it when I see it

Well they can start tonight by closing out Duluth.  Would like to see that stick salute…

Words are one thing, action is another. When you get to a certain point in life, you stop listening to people's words & you just focus on what they do.

The last time the good guys swept a team (excluding Miami) was March 2nd of last year, against W. Mich. Anything less than a sweep this weekend would feel like a disappointment. Gut it out tonight & inject some life into their PWR.

Technically at the end of the year you have to win four, unless you want to settle for making the frozen four and not winning it

I think it was a "per weekend" thing. Two wins one weekend, two wins the next.

I didn't hear last night that James was injured and didn't finish the game for UMD.
Big blow for them if he can't play tonight too.

Quote

Captain Dominic James did not finish the game Saturday after leaving with an unknown injury prior to the Hawks third goal of the night. Sandelin said he won’t know until the morning whether the senior center will be available for Saturday’s series finale.

UMD already entered the weekend without junior center Jack Smith and freshman wing Max Plante, who had upper-body injuries.

Not that I feel sorry for them with our injury issues...

Will never bat an eye when one of their players is injured by us.  The year after our championship Jost, Poolman, and someone else were all injured by them.

Cam Johnson lucky he survived an intent to injure play by Pionk that year too.

Sandy can't continue being a loser--he's too much of a coaching genius.   Dogs will be up 15 early in the third before the hosts show mercy and go straight time.   He's that good.
