I really do think things are still TBD. I would say if they don't make it out of Omaha, there's a higher % chance he's not back next year over he is. Or if they lose in 1st game of the Frozen Faceoff. There's a third option, you didn't mention and that's Berry essentially stepping down and pursuing another avenue (Asst in NHL / AHL, scouting). That would absolutely make the most sense to me. His legacy would stay intact.

If the first scenario this weekend is what it takes for Berry to be gone in the words of Peyton Manning-Omaha, Omaha.

Little Woodenboy asked me if North Dakota was in the top college division for NCAA Hockey. Huh?  It is all about winning, right!? So why in all of creation aren’t the  players, both offensively and defensively, who gives you the best chance to win, getting the minutes.   Is there some participation award at the end of season?    Don’t care who gets butt hurt about ice time!    Here are the boys who get the minutes.

Perron- sacha- berg

Swanson- wilkie- strinden

Littler- croal- james

And SACHA is still only getting about 40 seconds of PP.  WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All you guys repeatedly demanding Berry's head are just angry losers with nothing better to do than waste hours and hours of your time every day biatching on this site.  It pisses me off, is what it does.

And don't try to deny it.   I monitor these things very closely.

I'm an angry loser.  Now what?  Former players are also agreeing that Brad needs to go.  Those guys are losers too.

Gino won 3 Natty's but he ultimately got the ax after some down years in the 90s.  Blaiser did it about right; got out after 10 years, 2 titles and the team was still at the top.  Hakstol was probably the one who doesn't get enough credit; 7 Frozen fours in 11 years but ultimately no natty.  When Philly came calling with a dump truck full of money who could blame him for leaving?  B-rad has had some bad luck with the Covid year cancellation and the 5 OT loss to Duluth after they basically got a pass into the regional final due to that bunch of a$$holes from Michigan.  Also the BU loss in Fargo looms large.  Those were some pretty good teams that could have done more damage but ultimately didn't.  The current streak of one and done in the NCAA's or missing it altogether along with some conference quarterfinal road series definitely raises questions as to the direction of the program.  I'm pretty sure Brad knows they aren't having a great year but is remaining positive to try get a spark going into the playoffs.  Guessing he will come back no matter what happens the remainder of this season, but he knows the results outside of NCHC play haven't been up to par the past few years.

Gino got the first one with Rube’s recruits and Berry did the same with Hal’s.  Gino proved himself twice more, while Brad has not.

If only Berry and his players were angry losers maybe they would win more games.

My last post for the week on this topic. Feeling confident that if they lose this weekend Berry will not be coaching at UND next year. IMO makes by far the most sense.

I still say the staff is due for a radical generational shift*. That used to be KG, but he's already mid-40s. It ain't Dane. Simmer still needs time and was a weak attempt at the move. Even 40-ish Smaby may not be the reset needed, but I'd listen.

It may be time to look to some of the 2016 alumni who've built resume (St Clair, Chyzyk).

Before you say it, yeah, Chyz is more front office guy; but, that's very needed in today's college sports (portal, NIL) landscape.

*see coaches at DU, Augie, et al

But I agree with the rest of your post.

if elite prospects is accurate, surprised that B-Rad had zero head coach experience prior to this fiasco...  Did Hak install a buddy?  Should the next HC have head coaching experience?   EP also has him listed as 59, I thought he was a bit older, nearing early retirement anyway.

I can't believe you guys took that literally.   The markers were there.   Lame?  Probably.   But . . . .

What is the agenda of this site?

1.  Is it revenge?

2. Is it to shame the coaching staff?

3. Is it to help create a stronger program?

4. Is it to weaken the program?

5. Is it just to lampoon as a joke?

6. Is it to discourage young, talented, possible recruits, not to come play at UND.

7.  Is it a self-gratifying exercise of trolling?

8. Is it frustration?

9. What is it?

It’s for Und fans to openly discuss all things about their favorite program…hiding behind a fake name. What do you think its purpose is?
