Where would you have it? I think Seattle would be cool.

Yeah I thought this was old news

It was reported over the weekend on Twitter/X from a guy with The Hockey News so it’s making the rounds to non-UND people.

Feel like I’ve heard about the Austin game since last summer or so

Same. And it is still not officially announced either. It’s basically old news to all of us at this point.

Isn’t it rainy season in October in Seattle?

Only PHX arena with ice is Mullet now.

Interesting to see what group gets the NHL team in ATL and builds that arena. But there is the Gas South Arena in Duluth Georgia (ECHL) or Savanah (ECHL), and Macon (SPHL).

Hopefully a couple of the Texas ACHA schools take advantage and have games the day before with College Hockey Inc. getting involved.

Salt Lake City (when the Delta Center gets renovated) and Seattle should be high on the list of next places.

It can be, Nov-Feb/March are when it's constant though. Was just there for a Kraken game against Calgary and it was gorgeous out that weekend. As always, spotted a UND jersey in the crowd.

They want a full crowd, so they settled for a 7k seat arena.

San Diego seats just shy of 13k for hockey, is right by the airport and downtown (not to mention the beach), and is lovely in November.

What are other AHL/ECHL towns in desirable/accessible locations? After not selling out NHL arenas that ship has probably sailed for a while.

They are talking about replacing the arena in San Deigo with a new one.

Hertz arena in Estero FL would be high on my list. 7100 seat arena near Ft. Myers.
