So when we still had a 3 point lead, did it look like Smith tip toed the sideline and should have been closer to a first down, if not a first down? Only saw the one look, but was wondering if we should have challenged that, if not for the spot alone.

Not sure why teams like cute 2pt plays, give it to our playmakers! I was for going for 2 because I don’t think our D would stop theirs at the end. Unfortunately, I should have realized our 2pt play crappiness would carry over from Freund era.

Can't say enough about Romfo today.  The kid was fantastic in a game where his defense had more holes than Swiss cheese.

Chaves is maintaining the status quo on the field, court, and ice … but got some nice buildings built. Net positive, but would like to see football compete with the regional big dogs (NDSU, SDSU) at some point or else it’s all for not. Chaves has addressed most everything but football coaching and coaching salaries, arguably the most important things.
 

The people in the building are always more important than the buildings themselves.

Heard the announcers say ISU blue has an athletic qb, with their win today we may lose. SDSU big O-line will run through us if not 1st quarter, by 2nd and onward. USD we may have a shot if we have a great crowd. ISU Red on the road last game of year, very well be the NAU deflating loss during Brady’s and Santiago’s senior year that left us out of the playoffs.

The problem is the defense.. 98%.. defense is so terrible.. it’s embarrassing.

still the offense had a couple opportunities.. im still amazed we couldn’t run the clock out at the end.. im also super depressed by that 2pt play call.  It should have been an extra pt.. and then after the fake didn’t work.. it should have been our regular offense.. so depressing..

If we played every game under Bubba's tenure at a neutral field he wouldn't be sniffing a .500 record.  The only reason he has a winning record at UND is because of the Alerus Center.

Ironically that 2018 loss be NAU led to a new offensive coordinator and offensive line coach (just like this year), but the real problem was not addressed. That real problem is still present ….
