At 2-4 UNI is next after they just lost to South Dakota 42-17.

A must win for UND. Reading the UNI fan board they are really down on their team.

Hopefully we are healed up and ready to give it our best. Want to see a few qb keepers that has untapped potential. Payback for the ugly loss last year.

UNI averaging 7 ppg against scholarship teams. I’m saying they get to at least 24 against our defense

The defense needs to get early stops and be ready to go from the start. Get the running game rolling. UNI will be playing for its life. Find a way to get it done!

If I’m Bubba I would no longer defer if we win the toss. We always seem to give up a TD the opening drive. I think damn near every game last year the other team did that.

Wrong.  Only time they have Deferred and gave up opening TD was vs. Iowa ST.  Maybe the best game we have played defensively this year.  Quit the Opposite Actually.  Best to give the other team the ball to start.

Probably not.

 Really wish the Coaching staff would spend the extra week preparing Jerry to take over the starting spot.  IMO We have seen enough of Romfo to know he wouldn't take us far.  Guessing If he is the starter the full year he will be the default starter week 1 next year.  The next few game are against weaker competition.  Get him a few games played before the SD's schools come to town.

So MVFC teams so far have hung 14 in their opening 2 drives on us? Seems like the defense is either regressing or facing tougher competition. Not something I’d hang my hat on.

I'm not willing to hang my hat on the offence.   zero TD's on their opening drives.  Much rather have have the other team need to drive the length of the field on their opening drive than give them a short field after our Offense goes 3 and out.

The previous couple of years I think you are correct, seems like we often gave up points on the other teams first possession.

After a by week and getting knocked around at SU, I think the team comes out pretty fired up and we look pretty good.  Bubba is usually pretty good at sprinkling in some false hope now and then, since we are at home after a Bye week....I think this could be one of those games.  We'll see.

Hasn't our kicking game done well after some early season issues? According to the announcers, they are asking him to kick it into the left corner which comes with that risk.
