Really unfortunate bounces leading to 3 goals by Michigan I saw a penalty or two that could have been called but get why they weren’t. What about Gaber tackling the guy near the end? Not like the refs butted one in or anything. Quote

If you ask him to stop taking chances, the points drop off. Let him play. He’ll likely make the hobey hat trick, so maybe find someone else to blame this on? I would say this is the type of outcome you can expect part of the time if you want to play high risk at tourney time. Not exactly a recipe to win it all, taking risky chances you might win a few, but winning more may take high odds. Quote

Cratter Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Blake is easy to criticize because he's the best player on the team. The criticism is a badge of honor. The real criticism is Berry's inability to help Blake offensively with another star player. Despite being a pretty good team most of the year. They were nowhere near National Championship caliber. Exhibit 1A) Go look up Cam Johnsons Save % in 2016. 2 Quote

No open ice, clogging up the middle, beat us to every puck, played our game back at us and we can’t / didn’t handle it well. 4 Quote
dden3 Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 See everybody next year here on the board. Hope we are all still here and we have some great new players. Let’s let some young guys in and no more losing recruits cuz we don’t think they are ready when there are teams willing and ready to take them. Need our own goalies and no more replacing the whole defense! 1 Quote

SiouxScore Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Disappointing crash to a season that showed so much promise at times. Too many missed opportunities in the 1st. Leaving that period at only 1-0 was trouble. Too many turnovers in the 2nd half of the game just got extremely careless. Michigan definitely got some puck luck but back breaker was Persson giving up the 2nd, just cover the damn puck. Not enough urgency and getting pucks to the net, content to play on the perimeter. Brady Berry clock is ticking. 1 ncaa win since the national championship and 3 missed tourneys when we hadn’t missed one in forever. Some say parity and I’ll never agree with that, watch the spittin chiclets video and try to sell someone on parity how many other places are even in the same ballpark with those amenities maybe a couple. Frozen Fours should be the expectation around here. 1 Quote
nodakvindy Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Just need to get a sports psychologist for neutral aite games. Thata the common thread. With NCHC moving to campus we should be OK, juat need early round NCAA games moving to campus and we'd be golden. Quote

If UMD had the same lack of patience they would have never had their run of titles. You are entitled to your opinion, but I challenge you to be more optimistic about the program. Bubs has a great recruiting class coming in next year, most everyone will be back, let’s support and see what they can do. If you don’t have faith in the team, feel free to support another team Are people really trying to use "case examples" of why something may or may not happen in the future? Pro Tip: Stop. Also only low IQ fans say "Don't say negative things about the team. Positive things only!" Quote

Think about the cost we incur not having the man advantage. - three of their four bounces were stupid unlucky. -i can't believe how poor of choices we make passing the puck in the trasition in the neutral zone. It's been a curse of our talented passing teams since Berry has been the coach. Fancy passing is awesome inside the circles not in the neutral zone. - 1 Quote
