brianvf Posted July 12 Author Posted July 12 Dang that’s a sad turn of events. That’s too bad, wonder what happened as it sounded like he stayed at UMD the spring semester and practiced with the team. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Sounds like he wasn't ready for college, and not just the game. Brad Berry right now: 1 Quote
Popular Post Tbone Posted July 13 Popular Post Posted July 13 Berry & staff seemed to do the right thing by wanting to delay Spicer and bringing in Dylan James. Others on here were sharply critical of the move. Kind of shows why we are on here posting and not behind the bench coaching, eh? 10 Quote

My recollection is this board was more critical of Spicer and agent/family/etc than Berry, especially with Ryder Donovan as an example fresh in everyone's mind. Quote
jk Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Yeah, I don't know. Without going back and checking, I think the pitchforks and torches were out for Berry, not Spicer. 1 Quote
burd Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Berry took a lot of shyt from a fair number of posters here. Another reminder of how all of us are prone to reach conclusions based upon speculation. 3 Quote

In today's world, you can now just say, "I don't want to play for your team", and then you ask for a trade. I remember a time when this was frowned upon. Quote The Pittsburgh Penguins and recently-acquired forward Rutger McGroarty have agreed to terms on an entry-level contract. McGroarty, to whom the Jets dealt to the Steel City for fellow prospect Brayden Yager, made it abundantly clear this summer that he had no desire to sign in Winnipeg. Whether or not that dissonance was inspired from outside sources or if it truly was a lack of interest in playing in the AHL, the truth may never come out. (Hockey News) Quote
