Hutter's social media posts after the Schiller announcement have me thinking there is no love lost between those two. Was there friction there?

Jocie posted her departure at 4:27, Hutter posted a little over an hour afterwards that being a Hawk just got better today. Coincidental? Or purposeful post?

Purposeful just confirming she was  trouble to team chemistry.   Watching her all year she never gave high five to teammates.  Never helped up a teammate that fell.  Reading the article in the forum today said it will be nice to not be the focal point like we had no one else on team. She seemed very full of herself in article in my opinion.

New coach wasn't able to keep the best player. Not a good start.

Maybe he didn't want her ? She didn't make 1st or 2nd team.  Pemberton did.  Not saying she wasn't good.  But she played alot for herself too.

I find it interesting that none of her teammates said anything once she committed to NDSU.  No Congrats or wishing you the best.  We know coaching was an issue, but I agree maybe team chemistry was an issue as well.

What has happened it doesn’t matter to us anymore she chose to leave this program and we need to move on from here now. It’s interesting all this analysis of her and what kind of teammate she was here. I suspect this will come out over time by players over period of time and if this true it will probably move on to her new team and they will have to deal with it. I am excited about our team and we also recruited another point guard last year that showed promise but got hurt early and didn’t get a lot of playing time with minutes Schiller played but I do remember game where she was put in because of her defense ability to help shut down opponent that Schiller couldn’t handle. We may find we pretty good point guard to build around and we have Minot recruit coming in year.  I just think we’re going to see improvement in our recruits now with change in coaching. We need to find more players with length and quickness to go along with our remaining players. The turnover in Summit in players we can still be competitive if we can find right players that will fit into our system and buy into playing as team. I feel more confident now than last year with Mallory gone I think we can have productive off season where we work on fundamentals and players being taught smart basketball and to play as team.

Why would teammates congratulate  arguably their best player when she abandons them when things are tough?
She has to do what she thinks is best for her future, but those left behind are likely to feel betrayed.

Did any of the other 7 that are/were in the portal say anything? I know Jayla Owens liked my tweet about lack of loyalty.

IMO he has to take the high road and immediately start looking to the future and his team. It appears that from what he knows he was willing and able to move on from her quickly.

There is much more to being "the best player" than points on a scoreboard. Addition by subtraction it appears.

More going on amongst players I would think , most minds to transfer were made up and weren’t going to be changed.

Not Hutters fault, Mal should look in the mirror

Outside looking in my guess is the money was just a bonus. She and others wanted to get out of an ugly situation (Mal UND bb) into a much better situation (somewhere else) - my guess - and ndsu was close enough for her family to watch her play

Must have been bad as she is leaving the 3rd place team for the 5th place team. :whistling:
