SiouxFan100 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 It would be nice if our ladies show up tonight against the ndsu Quote
und1995 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 28% shooting isn’t going to win many games. Not a good effort so far against the Bison. Quote
iramurphy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Why don’t we have anyone hitting the boards in the offensive zone? Our shooting fundamentals are so bad. Over half of our shots in the paint are thrown toward the basket rather than a confident shot. Only a few times have our girls gone up with confidence and used the backboard. NDSU isn’t playing their best game and we are still down by 9. Do they think we will make a lot of the off balance 3 pt. attempts? 1 Quote
gfhockey Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I hope scholler gets more than a free car wash a day. She needs to be paid or else ndsu will pay her Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 We don’t have to worry what ndsu would pay Schiller Quote

und1995 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Glad they got the win but I think a coaching change is necessary. We’ve already seen what Mal’s teams can do. NDSU has consistently improved under Joey and UND can’t say the same. 1 Quote
iramurphy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Impressed by the Hawks defense and hustle. Adjusted at halftime and took away open 3’s. Made their big kid work for her 29pts. Doubled down on her for a couple of steals. Minimized unforced errors. Nice win for young team. Quote
CMSioux Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Job saving win in an environment where the AD is reluctant to make coaching changes. I really want to go to the Summit League tournament but can't justify the distance and expense for one and done every year. Quote

ND-fan Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Mallory after game interview said the changes made after halftime were suggestions of Hutter which explains a lot. The only positive it appears player like Mallory. I wouldn’t be extending her on one game win when you look at her total record but nothing would surprise me. The big question to ask do you believe Mallory can make us contender for winning conference in next two years. If Chaves does that his job she be tied to his next extensions. Quote
SIOUX29 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Ibrahim has improved so much from last year to this year. If she keeps progressing, we could be tough with this young core for a bit. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted Sunday at 01:07 PM Posted Sunday at 01:07 PM Not sure if this has been posted here but Fricke from Minot HS is coming to UND per a source from Minot. If she can get healthy (knee) and stay healthy that will be a top tier Summit backcourt with her and Schiller. Also...always a great win to beat your instate rival. Quote

I’m sure there’s an example but seems like it rarely works out. I’m an old guy but the U Mich men’s hoops coach 30 or so years ago who had the all freshmen Fab 5. Quote

Steve Fisher. Won a national title at Michigan in 1989 after taking over for Bill Frieder during the season. Another example closer to home is Aaron Johnston at SDSU. He was like 26 years old and they were at best the third-best women's basketball program in the NCC when he took over. I don't think anybody could have predicted how well that would work out. Quote

NewUndFan Posted yesterday at 01:15 AM Posted yesterday at 01:15 AM Anyone know why Demers is out ? I missed it if they said it. Also why is Hurst coming in for Ibrahim??? She is a complete liability ! Anyone would be better. Just another Mal mistake in my opinion Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM Posted yesterday at 02:28 AM Just checking in yea I see that Demers isn’t playing - hopefully just sick hanging tough after three quarters down two but we are In foul trouble Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM We have 18 turnovers early in fourth qtr. if only we could control this but too many again down six now Quote
