I remember being told the girls LOVE Mal when her interim season was over with.  They all want her to get the job.

that is reason #84 why you don’t listen to the current players ever.

What interim head coach that had the tag removed has been successful? I’m sure there’s an example but seems like it rarely works out.

The season is almost  over and I am hoping for the end something I never would have wished before but plain fact is I just want to see if we’re going to finally make a change in coaching. I thought tonight ST. Thomas has been just four seasons in conference now they are sweeping us in conference season. I look at this basketball team they deserve better coaching and I believe if they had better coaching we battling for third in the conference. Hard to know how much better we could be but I know we have enough talent to reach that high. Chaves if he does nothing should also be fired but way it looks to me he has decision on basketball teams and may have to address hockey too if we do not make the tournament. This after football and women’s soccer changes. The whole athletic program is in mess we don’t have one winning program for the year.

Most coaches change things up the second time through their League schedule. There has been no coaching changes here the second time through with declining results. What possible results can they expect?? Don't they think the opposing coaches haven't figured this out? We're being out coached! It's hard to imagine at this rate we win anymore games, which is very sad. The girls do deserve better!

Especially if you give her a try out year and she wins 2 games as a interim coach! No reason they made her full time head coach

We play the bison tomorrow night what are peoples thought on the game. I thought we might have had chance if Bison had played SDSU better on Wednesday night but I have feeling Jory going to have them motivated by there poor play Wednesday. If we play like we did Wednesday the game will be over at half time. I expect Demers to have better game around  but the problem will be if we can control basketball. Second if we run any offense but will we play one on one offsense with very little assists and scoring coming individual basis. My guess we loose by 16 to 24 points. Chaves and Armacost got to be there unless they both travelled with hockey team.  If they are there I hope they attention.to product and quality play compared to what we have to the Bison because both coaches have been in charge same amount of time. This should show we need a change at top.

Why don’t we have anyone hitting the boards in the offensive zone?
Our shooting fundamentals are so bad. Over half of our shots in the paint are thrown toward the basket rather than a confident shot. Only a few times have our girls gone up with confidence and used the backboard.  NDSU isn’t playing their best game and we are still down by 9. Do they think we will make a lot of the off balance 3 pt. attempts?

Glad they got the win but I think a coaching change is necessary. We’ve already seen what Mal’s teams can do. NDSU has consistently improved under Joey and UND can’t say the same.

Impressed by the Hawks defense and hustle. Adjusted at halftime and took away open 3’s. Made their big kid work for her 29pts. Doubled down on her for a couple of steals. Minimized unforced errors. Nice win for young team.

Job saving win in an environment where the AD is reluctant to make coaching changes. I really want to go to the Summit League tournament but can't justify the distance and expense for one and done every year.

Mallory after game interview said the changes made after halftime were suggestions of Hutter which explains a lot. The only positive it appears player like Mallory. I wouldn’t be extending her on one game win when you look at her total record but nothing would surprise me. The big question to ask do you believe Mallory can make us contender for winning conference in next two years. If Chaves does that his job she be tied to his next extensions.

Not sure if this has been posted here but Fricke from Minot HS is coming to UND per a source from Minot. If she can get healthy (knee) and stay healthy that will be a top tier Summit backcourt with her and Schiller.

Also...always a great win to beat your instate rival.
