Siouxperfan7 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Boom. There we go. Great win to open the conference season. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Damn what a snipe from Berg. And it was a PPG. Not exactly how they usually draw up PPG, but hey we'll take what we can get now. 2 Quote
Kevin G Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 It could’ve been a “leave no doubt” game if we bury a couple chances in the second. But a learning experience: don’t let the other guy hang around. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Sorry about your boys, gfhockey. I'm guessing UMD will come out stronger tomorrow, they got better as the game went on, but UND still controlled play for the most part...just couldn't put the dagger in until less than a minute left. Hard to place to sweep, but hopefully the guys finish more of their chances tomorrow. 4 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Winning on the road is hard someone recently said. Good conference road victory. 1 Quote
Username Taken Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Standard UMD game. Outskilled but clog things up to keep it close and hope for a bounce or two. Quote

Esoteric Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 This comment is a little out of frustration. The Sioux made it interesting but it should not have been a nail-biting game. They get the lead and then fail to shut the door. They let the bulldogs hang around and did not handle the tight checking and pressure. It gave the Bulldog goalie renewed confidence for the game on Saturday. However, congratulations to the team on their first NCHC win tonight. Now get the second win tomorrow. Quote

I remember watching UMD play in 2018 when they won their second natty and they won each of their last 4 games by one goal. Keep it close get a bounce. Rinse and repeat. 1 Quote

siouxfaninseattle Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Nice to start the conference season with a win, especially on the road. But that was an ugly win. 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 I didn't think much of UMD's forwards tonight. Our D bottled them up pretty good for most of the night...their second goal came off a deflection right to their guy on the doorstep of the UND net. Sioux made a nice play to get the puck out of the zone against the extra attacker, drawing the final UMD penalty. Nice job boys, finish the job tomorrow! 1 Quote

Username Taken Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Everybody ahead of UND in the polls (minus inactive Wisconsin) loses tonight. Damn, what a shame. Get the job done tomorrow. 3 Quote
