I miss when colleges were focused on educating people and not trying to operate minor league sporting franchises.

I would say they ought to be careful but I think it's too late.

The South Dakota Board of Regents have filed a complaint against the NCAA on behalf of USD and SDSU with regards to the non Power 4 share of the proposed House settlement.

The ND Legislature tried suing the NCAA once. Hopefully your attempt goes better!

Glad to hear that.  Maine, Vermont, ND, Montana, Alaska, Delaware, Rhode Island should all join.  Or at least senators from states without p5 schools should work to pass some bipartisan legislation on this.

Not saying I disagree.....but also probably a place to tread somewhat lightly if you want to continue scheduling P4 games in the future.
Not sure what the right answer is on this. Not fair regardless of which way you go with it.

"With anticipated declines in funding due to decreased enrollment, we are carefully navigating how to balance our resources while positioning NDSU for future growth." - excerpted from email from Dr Cook to the NDSU campus last week

Opting out means no roster caps and thus not cutting 65 walk ons (per Fargo Forum) who are paying full tuition and could just disenroll and go elsewhere compounding the existing situation Cook references.

Chaves has an opportunity to not only have UND be the leader of the Dakota schools by opting in, but he would also put NDSU in an uncomfortable situation. I really hope UND opts in.
