Boom! Hawks land a commit from Waukee , IA offensive lineman William Stobbe. 6’3”-275. Iowa has become a go-to state for OL lately (Beecher, Borud)

The change in OL coach has been huge.

Had an offer from Yale and PWO from Iowa.  Looks like good OL get.

Nice to pick up an Iowa kid who could have gone to Iowa. We've seem plenty of those types of players pick their home state or the bigger school with PWO offers.

Can't wait to see what else comes with this next recruiting class.

Toivanen, Maag, Waletzko, Hoosman, the CFL guys in WPG and HAM, soon hopefully Ventrelli, even being able to point to Coach Kuper with MIN, all help in getting better recruits because you can point to them as success stories.

OL has definitely shown overall improvement. If we’re talking about 2023 (next season), I have very little concerns about the offense as a whole. I think it as a unit is capable of winning the conference. The issue, however, is the defense. At this juncture, it’s a major liability. Hopefully there will be positive surprises this season. More interesting, Bubba - the defensive minded HC - is folding his cards to his eventual successor.

Can we afford Kuper to be the next head coach?

Rather than Freund?  Would you really want a head coach with zero college football coaching experience and zero college recruiting experience?

With guys like him you have to be his first stop or he’ll be outta here and too expensive. The DeBoer situation was pretty rare as he was obviously a legit HC and a fast riser but he was in our wheelhouse for a time

Not hiring DeBoer (even if it lasted but three seasons) is the single largest gaffe in UND Football history, closely followed by "Mussman".

"The Reverse" and "Fourth Down" are rounding errors by comparison.

Where is the follow on this guy?  Anyone have any info??

Looked on the Rivals sight.  He's not listed in the top 25 of Wisconsin.  According to them only other offer is Sioux Falls.

Sam is from the same HS as Kaminski.

Wonder if that was one of the guys that visited with kaminski last year? The reason the big schools didn’t recruit him you assume is size but he is definitely worth taking a shot on.

Never know what experience he will have once we are looking to hire a new coach.

He can dunk on the BB court.

We are starting to see more lineman with size and that’s great. We need to win in the trenches and I feel like we are making strides on both sides.  It’s fun to be getting lineman with offers from Iowa State and Yale for instance.
