He is leaving the team in better shape than he found it, is doing a good job as the captain, and definitely strives for legendary status. burd Posted December 13, 2023 Share Posted December 13, 2023 He seemed to come out of nowhere as a freshman, but you could tell right away he had a shot like we hadn't seen much of at UND in recent years. He plays hard and has learned a lot, IMO, about being a team leader. I am passionate and get really frustrated when we don't play to our potential and have outcomes like this past weekend. I couldn't stand to read or talk anything about this past weekend until today. We still got 2 out of 6 points and I am now over my tantrum and I am truly thrilled with what this team showed the first half of the season. I was worried about a North Dakota team that had to replace its entire defense, but that does not seem to have slowed the Hawks down one bit. Ludvig Persson has also been solid in net after transferring from Miami. This projects Maine slipping from its current 1 seed status, given that these Hockey East teams near the top of the Pairwise now will all have to play each other a bunch of times down the stretch. Trying to recreate the magic at Orleans, but this ain't it. Hopefully they run shuttles from wherever the alumni gathering is (likely in the downtown/capital/campus area) to the venue. They've been in communication with Michigan State as a possible opponent. These destination games have been stinkers the last couple times.
