Close. Africa, yes, by way of Canada. Raw, athletic and plays a lot above the rim. Patience, grasshoppers. 

EDIT: I am not positive about nationality... just that last country he played in in Africa is different than Nigeria.

Just looked at the updated UND Student Directory and the name that I have heard around the rumor mill is listed in the directory for the fall semester. This is not to say said individual is on campus yet. That I don't know.
