Seriously is the NCAA gonna make ASU find a conference already or just keep letting them schedule whatever they want and have tons of rest before the tournament if they make it?

The last time they made it, they had way too much time off after their regular season ended. Would rather be sharp and a little tired than rusty.  Who knows, maybe they announce membership to the NCHC right before or after our game with them this fall.

Let the Big Ten have them.  They're more like-minded with the B1G schools. There seems to be a push by some for a Summit Hockey League. I think that would be a horrible idea, too.

You'll water it down by adding St. Thomas and Augustana.

first augie isn't in the summit (and probably won't be)....and second........adding  st thomas would be a great get for both the nchc and the summit (currently member...soon to be gone if fenton doesn't "lock em up")

Really, they have a big donor in Sanford Health. They're committed to expanding their programs and have the money to do it. I wouldn't say say never or ever.

Do we know whose going to take over the nchc yet

We don't have a commissioner, yet. That discussion is taking place soon. I believe that Erik Martinson is one of the candidates.

Apr. 16—GRAND FORKS — There's a startling number of high-profile head coaching jobs open in college hockey right now.

Boston College, Boston University and Michigan State are all searching for new head coaches.

But that didn't prevent Augustana College, a Division-I startup program in Sioux Falls, S.D., from attracting high-end candidates for its first-ever hire.

Many of the country's top assistant coaches were interested in the job, but Vikings athletic director Josh Morton, a UND graduate, is closing in on his hire.

Minnesota assistant coach Garrett Raboin is emerging as the top candidate, multiple sources have told the Herald.

Raboin, a Detroit Lakes native, has served as a Gopher assistant the last four years under head coach Bob Motzko. Prior to that, he was an assistant for six years at St. Cloud State, where he played and served as a two-year captain.

Think about it, there are a few Gophers in the Transfer Portal, he's probably unhappy about.

yeah but the higher you are on the "status" board you are like und and minny you should love the transfer portal but when your not the greatest at evaluating talent and or utilizing that talent it doesn't matter........

every kid that was offended bc the "big" schools didn't offer and he's lit it up at American International shoulld be an easy get for either minny or UND...if you want him.

He might be unhappy about it but they all pretty well look like guys that Motzko likely had a conversation with and said you don't have a spot on the team next season. Opening up spots for their talented group of commits.
