How does Wofford win a game in the dance?  They were rated going into it and they have an outstanding 3pt shooter in Magee that now has the record for most 3’s made ever in DI.

But Wofford only had less than 1700 undergrads and has never won a game in postseason before and only been qualified for DI since 1997.  But they have a big booster in Jerry Richardson of the Carolina Panthers (formerly?).

Some of their  previous visits to the dance were helped by Noah Dahlman, Braham, Minnesota, who went on to play with pro European teams.  Wofford used to recruit a lot in Minnesota when they wasn’t much competition for recruits below the BIG.

Zion Williamson is also from Spartanburg, where Wofford is situated.

What will this “exposure” do for NDSU? Donors? More students? “Better” students?  Basketball recruits? Validate their football success? How does that translate to $$?

Don't get me wrong, wish it was UND. But everyone keeps talking about this exposure. NDSU is still at the end of the day a small school in Fargo, ND.

The ASun should have had two bids:  Liberty and Lipscomb.  Lipscomb didn’t get one but Liberty won their first game.

The OVC got two bids:  Murray St and Belmont.  Murray St won impressively over Marquette and Belmont has gone 1-1.

The bottom of those conferences are trash, but the top is stronger than the media gives them credit for.

When SDSU won on a miracle bucket at NDSU, figured that SDSU was much more vulnerable than people believed and the tides of luck would turn for NDSU.

So many times, NCAA championships have been won by teams that had trouble in the first round.  NCST won over Pepperdine in OT in their Valvano run when they easily should have lost multiple times.  And teams that roll over others usually fall because they haven’t overcome much adversity.
