SIOUXFAN97 Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 so how many higher ups at PGA were compromised? Quote

The Sicatoka Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Forget the messenger (no politics). One guy predicted this outcome a year ago! Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 This isn't a merger so much as the PGA Tour absorbing the LIV and it's financial backing. LIV may not even exist going forward in its current form. The insane thing is that none of the players on either side knew about this before reading it on twitter. Talk about a heel turn by Jay Monahan, went from LIV guys are paid by the backers of 9/11 to being completely fine taking their money(I'm guessing it was a lot). Quote

Cratter Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Attack your opponent....and "When all else fails, play the 9/11 card." Likely overheard in a PGA executive meeting. Quote
Cratter Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 This validates LIV. The NFL ain't merging with the USFL. Quote

LIV as a product or a business model was an abject failure on its own merits. It was a vehicle to pump enough money into the sport to leverage the PGA Tour into getting the PIF a seat at the table. 1 Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 how far did the sawdi's have to dig to find the weak spot in his family tree to make monahan bend the knee? this is more than just money...just look at gruden in the nfl and the redskins owner....... dirty stuff. Quote
UND1983 Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Seems Phil knew about some issues the PGA may have if exposed when it comes to their status with Uncle Sam. Plus the players being grossly underpaid. 1 Quote
