Flyers lost 7th straight.....but  it's early...coach'll turn it around....

Let’s see how bad they are in those 7 games.

Lost 1-0 to the Wild, Shootout loss to the Jets, Overtime loss to the Flames, back-to-back overtime’s losses to the Islanders.

So 5 of the 7 were one goal losses with the Flyers getting a point in 4 of the 7 losses.

Just wat hed the flyers blow another lead and lose in OT to the  pens....

The vetrans on that team have absolutely  stopped trying to give a sh't.

I see an AHL assistant job in Haks future. Then either Wisco or DU.

Lose again last night to the Sharks. Does Hak even make it to Christmas?

You sound like the "FB only" supporters at UND! ;)

No matter how one tries to cut it losing 7 in a row is tough to sugarcoat.

The vulchers  are starting to circle in Philly.

Well Philly loses X in a row.......

To "prove" this is a coaching issue, do you not have to assume that ALL teams are equal in talent in the NHL?

Perhaps there is indeed a "talent lack" issue in Philly.... Just say'in.  (not trying to defend Hak- I still expect him to be gone soon).

  • 2 weeks later...

For those of us who like to see perseverance and dedication rewarded, tonight Jeff Glass made his NHL debut at age 32.   Goaltending for Chicago at Edmonton, he won his first game and was named the game's #1 star.

For those of us with great memories, he was the goaltender for Team Canada in Grand Forks at the 2005 WJC.   (I had not remembered that.)

Another alumni of that tournament makes it to The Show.

Interesting

The percentage of NHL players who are from Canada has fallen to 46.1%, according to data collected by QuantHockey.com. Meanwhile, the percentage of US-born players in the NHL is up to 25.7%, its highest level ever.

The gap between the two nations (20.4%) is the narrowest ever. Just 16 years ago, the gap was 40.3%. Just three years ago, the NHL was still mostly Canadians, with over 50% of the players born above the border.

If the trend seen over the last few years continues, the NHL could be more American for the first time by 2028. In 11 years, US-born players are projected to be above 30% and their Canadian-born counterparts are projected to fall below 30% of all NHL players.

Bruins probably wised they held on to or gotten something for Subban. Vegas with another win and second in the NHL.

11-1-1 in December. Best record in a month for any expansion team. They show no signs of slowing down.
