Yep, UND fans will always remember Nick for making that not happen. Sure, Denver still has a chance next year, but I think they'll be in a similar situation UND was in this year depends on who leaves early. If they lose Jaillett, Borgstrom, Gambrell, and Terry. Ouch. AlphaMikeFoxtrot
Duluth fans can rest well knowing that their team never quits.....HAHA #moralvictory My schadenfreude for Duluth was strong this year. Glad I'll never see Osterberg take dives or cheap shots again. May they never hang #2.

Godsmack
I think DU's win along with UND from last year solidifies the NCHC as the second best hockey conference in the country....behind the SSAHL (South Suburban Adult Hockey League) of course. Interesting move if true. Would think an expansion franchise would want someone with NHL experience, but it would certainly be a clean start for them. ChrisUND1
Congrats to DU and Coach Montgomery. They play the game the right way. The other staff and team do not coach/play in a manner that I agree with.

Popular Post Wilbur
I was a fan of Denver all year. Saw them play UND at the Ralph and they just seemed like they had all the ingredients to win a national championship. I consider Monty a miracle worker, because I thought no way in hell I'd ever cheer for Denver ever again after Paukovich and Gwoz. He is a classy guy, and I'm happy he was rewarded.

In all reality, the success that Hak had in taking the team to the playoffs in year 1 and just being eliminated from contention in the last week says a lot. Philly was supposed to be a rebuild and he has accelerated their success.

Although I'll get chastised for this, a key difference between Monte and Hak is that Monte won a national championship as both a player and a coach. Anyone who follows philly sports understands that the philly sports community recognized this from day 1.
brianvf
Congrats to DU. I'm glad UMD didn't bring home the hardware. I see they stuck true to their game plan all season, injure an opposing player and take the other team off their game. It almost worked for them once again.
