When you pull the goalie for an extra attacker and that extra guy is Trevor Olson, that's a problem. I know what his job is in that situation, but holy. That says it all. Very soft, bunches of careless turnovers, losing board battles, losing puck races, whole lot of shots blocked, can't count on your goalie to come up with a save, rarely get chances between the circles instead happy to just play on the perimeter, and too many guys standing around waiting for someone else to do it. There is maybe 5 guys on this team playing to the level they're capable of right now and that is the most disappointing thing. No doubt about it he has regressed. This team just has not found the chemistry. The season isn't over but we are pretty darn close to it being over. We just look slow, lost and bad. Is talent part of it? Sure. But we've had teams ther were short on talent before. This teams lacks energy, motivation, want, heart, and any other intangible. No doubt that. IF this team make the tourney they could surprise some people, BUT at this point, I'd be surprised to see them make the tourney. They were playing well and had the talent but couldn't get it clinking offensively. I think moving boeser from his off wing may help him? We need Jost back asap!
