Popular Post dagies Posted October 11, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 11, 2014 1. People who use the term "Natty" don't deserve one. 2. I put this on the upperclassmen leadership. They know how seasons go, and they needed to set the tone last night. I don't put this on the coaches, I put it on the team and the player leadership. We'll see how they respond tonight. 5
gfhockey Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 You can't win a natty in October but can lose one
MafiaMan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 wonder if this game will be looked back on as the hockey's version of the university of sioux falls football mess? Sheesh, don't jump off the bridge yet. History lesson for you: Hockey's version of "Sioux Falls" happened on December 12, 1986.
stoneySIOUX Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 You can't win a natty in October but can lose one No, you absolutely cannot lose a "natty" in October.
geaux_sioux Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 This. Is. Hilarious. One game into the season. Is that some sort of record?
MafiaMan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 This. Is. Hilarious. One game into the season. Is that some sort of record? I suppose it could have had the home exhibition against Manitoba gone south...
Let'sGoHawks! Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 This. Is. Hilarious. One game into the season. Is that some sort of record? It's kind of become this forum's "thing". The line between truth and satire varies greatly though with posters. 1

Old Time Hockey Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Losing to BSU in the home opener is one thing, but getting smoked in the process is shameful. I agree with the previous poster who puts this on the senior leadership. We have been sold on lack of experience as an excuse for previous slow starts. This year what will be the excuse? They better win tonight or this thread will get big in a hurry!
willythekid Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 No, you absolutely cannot lose a "natty" in October. You lose enough non-conference games early and you don't get the chance to play for a "natty"... people with short memories forget how we needed an epic meltdown of wisco to get to the dance last year.

UND could lose every single game of the year until the NCHC playoffs and then run the table from there through the NCAA's. Easy enough! Can you imagine the emotional roller coaster of ss.com if that were to happen!
90siouxfan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 http://www.connectverona.com/content/verbally-committed I didn't realize Jordan Schmaltz was a Wisconson commit.

MrEdway Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hard to find another coach who has accomplished so little with so much over the years.

gfhockey Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Name one coach whose got the resource tradition and facility whose done less then hak
Siouxman Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Name one coach whose got the resource tradition and facility whose done less then hakRube Bjorkman came into a program with a pretty good history, and a fine new arena that was pretty nice for that time period. And he pretty much did absolutely nothing for quite a few years. No conference championships, no NCAA playoffs, nothing.
gfhockey Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Was he arena 100m? How many nattys orgram before him coached 1
gfhockey Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 And Bjornson got ten years Then what? Simple question
Big A HG Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Money unfortunately (and fortunately) doesn't buy titles. Hockey is a weird game. Long season yet boys and girls.
