Anybody have any insight into the conference tiebreakers?  It looks like a possibility that Poly and EWU could win out and end up with identical conference records.  You could also throw MSU into that mix as well.

I'd prefer Poly not be conference champs after getting blasted vs the bunnies.

When two or more Conference members are tied in the final Conference standings, the tie shall be broken for the purposes of determining the NCAA FCS automatic bid only, and shall be determined on the following basis:

1. Head-to-head competition.

2. Record against common SCHEDULED CONFERENCE opponents in descending order.

3. Record vs. common Conference opponents played as NON-CONFERENCE games in
descending order.

4. Record against common NON-CONFERENCE opponents.

5. Sagarin Ratings.

6. Coin Flip

Big Sky All-Conference Teams

Tillman - 1st Team Returner & Hon. Mention CB

Taubenheim - 3rd Team Kicker

Adler - HM TE

Garman - HM RB

Pecosky - HM FB

Cummings - HM DT

Dranka - HM DE

Ratelle - HM ILB

Thought Ratelle should've been higher, but lots of LBs w/ higher tackle #'s.  Rich was probably deserving of HM as well.  Any others?

Rush Defense    UND 1st  -  MSU  7th

Sacks                 UND 2nd  - MSU 11th

UND  3 Hon. Mentions.  Tillman, Cummings, Dranka

MSU   1st team  (2) Singleton, Flowerrs

           2nd  team    Sheridan

           3rd  team   2) Moore, Marshall

Ratelle did make HM, but, yes, should've been higher as the leader of one of the top D's in the league.  Rich belongs at minimum HM as well.

Sioux Football Insider had some interesting tweets on some selections... Cal-Poly, with their triple-option Offense, had 3 WR's make HM w/ 20, 16 & 14 catches each....

Still no respect in league ran by three schools: Montana, Montana State, and EWU. In three years as a Big Sky member, UND has only beat one of those three once (Montana in 2012). Until that changes, UND shouldn't expect much.

Next year, the goal for UND needs to be to improve and have a winning club, but also knock off the "respected 3" in order to make the playoffs and earn respect.

Personally, I would have had Ratelle 2nd team, Rich 3rd team, Reyes 3rd team (might be a stretch, but at least HM), Idowu and Tillman both a tweener between 3rd team/HM.  Also, I think if Hinojosa has a full year without injury he's at least HM.  Very happy for Dranka - coming into the year he was one that I thought for sure was a redshirt to get size and could maybe start making an impact in a couple years.

The fact MSU defense got 6 players on the top 3 teams is VERY laughable (as well as the Cal Poly receivers).  Next year the defense takes another big step forward and we own that listing :)

How did the pass defenses stack up? Flowers was a good cb for them.

Considering the support (or lack thereof) the defense got from the offense throughout the season, those stats are incredibly. The defense was really, really good and it's a crime that more players weren't given the recognition they deserved.

It all starts with defense.  Give your offense a chance to win the game.  Didn't have may of those opportunites last year.  This year was a different story.  Our defense will only get better next year.  Our offense can only get better with guys returning from injury.
