Palum Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Apart from it dropping everyone at the same time, I thought the webcast was great. Considering the WCHA didn't provide any webcasts, and the NCHC provided not only this one but every single game of the best of three playoff series (for FREE!), I'm not about to complain about sound or a little buffering. That being said, I'm glad they synced it up with Tim after the first. The video quality was pretty poor, BUT it wasn't jumpy/stuttering. The UND Insider stream this year has been broadcast quality HD, BUT frequently jittery, often almost unwatchably so. I agree that free is good! That said we dropped cable tv this year that ran about $60/mo with the sports pack for FSN last year. The ten bucks or so per month for und insider is pretty decent. If they could provide the quality I know is possible I'd happily pay twice that. Quote

Watching the NCHC Goals of the Week videos, on the video for some teams, you could barely even tell where the puck was. While I wasn't in love with some of the camera work, this was nowhere near that bad. Quote
Fetch Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Why does the one ref have a go-pro on his head ? Quote

Sioux-cia Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 To the large contingency of Sioux fans who decided to forgo this game.... YOU SUCK!!! Quote

bigskyvikes Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Did anyone hear the announcement at the Target Center that you could do a survey about the weekend? I cannot find this survey. I believe it is a survey about the NCHC, the Target Center etc... Quote
bigskyvikes Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We were checking in on the Wisco game as fast as the NO WIFI in the Target Center would let us! I seen a comment from oxbow, he was quoting a troll and said OSU scored, in quotations mind you, (I missed that)! I groaned, my section of Sioux fans looked and I said OSU scored! Then like 3 seconds later the place cheered and the Let's Go Sioux chant started! We joined in but we were a little late to the celebration because of my reading skills...lol! Quote
Redneksioux Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I'd like to find that survey. Some target center employees were great....actually I'll say most. A little disappointed with their ticket checking policy at the tunnels yesterday with all those open seats is that really necessary? Was nice to visit with everyone on the concourse. Beer prices a little steep. But these were probably 2 of the Sioux games with the shortest bathroom lines I've ever seen for a Sioux game! Great weekend! 2 Quote

Walking back to my seat on Friday during 2nd intermission with a couple beers and popcorn, they need to see my ticket again...really? Yes! Here sir, we will hold your beer and popcorn for you... Godsmack Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We moved down to some lower seats on Friday with no problems but the couple next to us got booted out...so arbitrary! Quote
Redneksioux Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I had purchased a couple beers for some friends in another section. Wasn't allowed to take them down. And while waiting for them to come up and get their drinks from us we were escorted into the concourse by another usher. Really that's my only complaint. But one bad apple can ruin it for them all. Quote
dagies Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 The usher in our section checked our tickets the very first time, after that we just walked in like we knew where we were sitting and he never paid any more attention to us. Quote
Redneksioux Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Ok one other complaint about the target center. Scalpers overcharging for tickets when the place is half empty! Other than that, welcome ndsu sign out front the pourhouse, and a Sioux loss on Friday.....it was a great weekend! Quote
sprig Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Nice parking spot for the third place game. Who needs a ramp, or a skywalk? Was a metered spot, and open for us. Quote
Siouxman Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Not cool. Two women in a car were shot and injured about 8 blocks from the Target Center at 2 am on Saturday night. This was to the NE of the Target Center on 2nd St. N between 5th and 6th ave. That is way too close to the Target Center and Pourhouse for comfort. Quote

I was at the pour house but never go downtown bars otherwise. There are places close by that you just don't want to be close to. Quote

This would be front-page news on St Paul's TwinCities.com site if it happened 8 blocks from the X...but in Minneapolis, you can probably find it in the Star Tribune community section. Quote

I received a thank-you email from Target Center since I bought my tickets online from them (didn't wait for the school section seats) and that had a link to a survey. If you bought tickets online, I'd check your spam folder. Quote

It was actually about 3 blocks from the front door of TC. Or if you were outside between games at the festival on Target Field Plaza, you were about a block away from where that happened. Quote
