siouxfan512 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Smith just committed to UND, per his tweet. Awesome! Quote
forksandspoons Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Nice, next thing is where to play him! Quote
bang Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Sucks to lose Momoh, but Smith was the one I thought we needed to get. So, the last hour in my mind is a positive turn of events. Quote
UND92,96 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Apparently the hope is that LB Keelan Poole out of Colorado could potentially take Momoh's place in UND's recruiting class, per SFI: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1463610/keelan-poole Quote

Looks decent on film. Quote
Csonked Out Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Poole was on campus this weekend. Looks decent on film. He has a quick first step and can find the gaps but needs to put in some serious time in the gym. That is one quick linebacker though Quote
Risky Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Wow. Bohl must be getting desperate. It is kind of funny though. You can't blame Momoh for wanting to get a full ride. Quote
Dagger Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I can just feel a positive energy coming back into our program. It won't happen overnight but there is a change happening. We might not make the playoffs next year, but in 2016 I think it is going to happen. I hope they prove me wrong and 2015 is the year. 1 Quote
sioux24/7 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Can't wait to see Smith on the field! Turn my back away from the computer for an hour and boom he finally commits! Quote
Risky Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 How many spots do we have left? Do we have a specific position that is top priority or do we just shoot for best available? Rally exciting what is going on. Quote
bang Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 How many spots do we have left? Do we have a specific position that is top priority or do we just shoot for best available? Rally exciting what is going on. Wiki is showing 5 spots left but they have Nevermann as getting a scholarship and from what I've read he's a walkon. If he is a walk on that would mean 6 scholarships left. Quote
homer Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Another good recruiting weekend. I've liked Smith since I first saw his film. Liked him even more when Oregon offered the PWO. Really like that there are about 3 positions he could play at. Kid is a great athlete. Quote

siouxfan512 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 So with those spots left open, who are our big targets and/or who are we waiting on? Any idea why Momoh was only offered a half scholarship? Quote
Risky Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 So if Nevermann is a walkon and Momoh was offered partial(half) scholarship by UND, and Wyoming offered them both a full ride it is quite interesting. Bohl must be scrambling. Quote
Dagger Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Maybe they didn't want to offer Momoh more than a half because of some of the success we are having in recruiting. It looks like things are going good. Quote
OLINE70 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Just watched Hilton's Hudl film..... Young man is a baller.....nice pick up....looks like a guy that can instantly come in and start..... Quote

UND92,96 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Has anybody heard anything about whether UND is still in the running for Troy Hansen? I haven't found anything to suggest that he's committed anywhere yet. Quote

homer Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'll never fault a kid for wanting to give it a shot at the next level. You also cant fault him if he has a full ride to Wyoming vs a half at UND. Best of luck to him. Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 So if Nevermann is a walkon and Momoh was offered partial(half) scholarship by UND, and Wyoming offered them both a full ride it is quite interesting. Bohl must be scrambling. Wyoming can only offer full rides. All FBS scholarships are full rides. They have 85 scholarships to give and I believe that they can have up to 20 walk ons on the roster. FCS splits a lot of their scholarships. Quote
OLINE70 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Gotta gut feeling this team is gonna be in the mix..... I know my son is armed and ready....likes what he sees and is ready to roll.... Says he has a good feeling about the entire overall experience so far.....bunch of lunch pail guys punching the time clock.... Quote
shep Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Smiths twitter had #ndsuontheclock as he announced coming here. As in, SU better look out here comes UND or SU, you better make an offer? Quote
Westside Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Has anybody heard anything about whether UND is still in the running for Troy Hansen? I haven't found anything to suggest that he's committed anywhere yet. Not much out there on Hansen... After this weekend, he is the one kid that I really want to see commit. Hopefully UND is still in the running... Quote
